Last week, I got four hours of sleep. And I had to work that day. Pre-work-day-jitters kept me from sleeping. Bad, right? Bad. So I had to make up with it with coffee.
The problem is, I simply refuse to drink the stuff we keep around here. "Finest Columbian, Laced with Gold" is what the package says . FINEST CRAPUMBIAN LACED WITH CRAP is what you GET.
"Wow, this is bitter! It tastes horrible!" people exclaim excitedly upon tasting it. "Man, is this even coffee?! It must have been expensive! Was it brewed with toilet water?" they question enthusiastically, probing for the secrets of this fine cup of filth they're sipping. "Was it USED toilet water?! Man, I think so! This is great...uh...I ....yeah... fantastic...yuck, actually..."
So since I don't like our coffee (it is CostCo brand, which is nothing like Mexican Bean Water, or Pinto Coffee), we stopped by my favorite truck stop to pick up some Coca Cola Code Whoamg. They've got the nicest workers. They'll let you leave stuff on the counter and go outside to get 25 cents for the tax! Man, they're cool. The store is called Love's, and they've got a few locations around Arizona. I need to memorize all of them. Yes. They have hearts as their logo!
They didn't have Coca Cola Code Whoamg. I suppose that's just as well. That stuff is used in murder-suicides all the time- the murderers typically do not mean for it to become a murder-suicide...
You know how they use salt to conjure demons and/or ponies? Well, this stuff is TONS more potent. They make it by dropping the empty, haunted cans into Hell. The sour, demented sweat of the tormented masses' brows fills the cans, and they're sealed by Lucifer's demons, and sent back up by sheer force of evil. Evil floats, you know. Like oil. They let the cans go like those 3 Musketeers commercials.
Since he could not find Coca Cola Code Whoamg, Dad decided to get me some Starbucks things. Four of them. Called doubleshot espresso, or whatever. They each cost $2...his drink cost $1.50. And tasted much better.
I drank two early in the day...before 10 AM. Around 1 PM, we had some idle, sitting time. That's the problem with appointments- show up too early, and you're getting a shotgun to the face. Show up too late, and you get fired. Balance is very, very important. So...to make time pass, we decided to, like idiots, actually try real Starbucks. They have a siren as their logo. Greeeeaaat. He got me some iced mocha espresso latte caffe coffee ice doubleshot thing with whipped cream. Oh, I also think they put a shot of Hope and a dash of Dreams in it, too.
Cost? $5. Sheesh. THERE WEREN'T EVEN ANY SPRINKLES! MAN! THAT TWISTS MY HAT SIDEWAYS THEN STARCHES IT IN SHAPE! I just looooooove color sprinkles. Ruthlessly. In fact, if I do not get a cake with sprinkles baked in and sprinkles sprinkled over the top, I am going to cry! Got that?!?! Cry!
It was a learning experience. I went from bad to worst in one day, thus avoiding the savage whirlwind of wasted cash many experience while gradually slipping (in this case, "sipping!" LOL!) to rock bottom (which is a restaurant of sorts, I discovered). I do not have a taste for fine coffee, I guess, as Starbucks tastes pretty lousy. The fact that they have "Low-Flow" and "L'il Chamberpot" cup sizes is telling. You know...toilets. Their standard mug design is an outhouse. They ask you if you want that "Porta John" like other restaurants ask you if you want it "to go." Need I continue?
Mental note, here. For the mug purchasing, trading system. Upgrade thinger. Good.
My Dad got owned by the coffee. I did not. He was blushing, flustered, and his pigtails got tangled, too, it seemed, and his frown would not turn upside down. His dress got mud on it, I think, and he was crying because his bouquet of lilies fell out of the car window. What I'm saying is, WHAT A SISSY! Owned by coffee? Yeah, right!
The next trip, I tried Tully's coffee. Tastes like...I don't know. It costs $350 for roughly the same thing as Love's. It's probably richer, but I don't care- maybe at some point in the future I will, but for now, watered-down truck stop coffee's the way!
...oh. Correction, it's $3.50. Not $350. I drank it, but I didn't like it too much. Then on the way home, we tried Circle K's. They were out of most flavorings. Pshaw, what losers. We had a melody of poisonous creamers in the coffee. I guess you get a cup of coffee there, then add freaky creamers? What is to stop people from filling the cup up with creamers, then walking out and enjoying their own coffee? Oh...right...THE CREAMERS SUCK TOO MUCH TO. Ahhah-hah-hah!
To wit, my current latte of choice is Love's truck stop's "Original Latte." I even got an awesome refill cup. It now only costs $.85, instead of the $1.50, and it stays hot longer. And it looks really cool with the hearts. Man I love hearts.
If I become hooked on coffee, I will probably buy an espresso machine. Maybe this one. It's a lot better to make them with goats milk, I assume. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have chickens to dismember.
And boil.
In both water and oil.

Kev Ghost Trips on Metroid Prime 3
Well, yesterday Nintendo released a sort of client that allows for watching of streaming video. I ...guess.
This month is "Metroid" month, apparently, so that's the guise the client took. Oh, temptation of temptations. I just could not help myself. I had to look. I wanted to see the file (available August 13th, I gather) which shows the morph-ball but...no. Not available. See, that's how these things start: I just want to see a morph-ball. That's it. Just a plain, innocent morph ball. Oh, also, it's from Nintendo- not some lame video site. It's "official." It's no less spoiling, as should have been clear to me. Just because the filthiness is from a pretty, official source doesn't make it right.
It makes sense to me that God isn't impressed by us getting into a situation of temptation then having a 50% chance of getting it right. He wants us to skip out on those numbers, fleeing temptation early. As that's the surest way to avoid temptation. I failed that today. Lesson learned. Sure, it was only...one thing that was spoiled for me, and it was probably a really early occurrence, but...still. I feel so dirty. Spoilers are bad. Just so we're clear, I'm not using Metroid Prime 3 as an analogy for pornography. I'm...you know...I'm talking about Metroid Prime 3. I could see how you could make that mistake. I mean, I couldn't...but ... I mean...as in, that you could mistake my tone, not mistake Metroid Prime 3 for pornography. Not that it is in any way. Just to clarify. I mean, I just don't want to see spoilers. It ...spoils the game. I guess the same could be used as marriage, you know, pornography "spoils" marriage, but that's not what I mean. You'd have to be actively looking to see that. I mean, example, I could read an article on Amazon.com on choosing butterfly nets, and mistake that for bee catching nets. You know, they use the same words. "Net," "capture," "tensile strength," "Nettrometer," "'Famed Netgun,'" "net square," "net triangle"... it goes on and on. So yeah, it'd be really simple to think that. That's like having a dirty mind, though, if you think about it. It's just reading into things, and that, as far as I am concerned, is a spoiler in itself. Therefore, let us refrain from reading into things in the future, hmm?
Uhm...anyway, then, once I'm there (selecting the videos), I either watch one which spoils one fight very efficiently, or watch what I deem the "trailer," or "gamespoiler." Instead of the morph-ball video, y'know. I chose to watch the trailer. As far as I know, these have been up for quite a while (I am positive of the one, but not the other), but not on a Wii VC client. Like I said. Pretty, official, justifying source.
Honestly, I do not suggest watching either one. Samus looks -way- too hot standing in that window-building thing (she is suited). It makes me wanna cry! Strange thing is, she wasn't doing anything. Just standing there...I mean, it's not like her hair can be whipped in the wind or anything. Surely nothing like that one commercial where those two girls lick the same icecream cone at the same time. Uh, thus why I no longer watch G4.
I'd say the trailer spoils a few things (what counts as a spoiler?), though I could not finish watching it because I had stars and hearts lodged in my throat, along with a few bouquets of roses, causing me to pass out. Her arm cannon was the vase (by the way that would be THE greatest birthday present EVER! A Samus Aran Arm Cannon vase-- BEST PRESENT EVER! I'D CHOOSE TO BE BURNED AND HAVE MY ASHES HURLED INTO SPACE IN IT)...(dreamy sigh)
Oh, God, kill me now!
Anyway...it's only a little over a month to go. 40-or-so days. I guess it was pushed back another day (to August 28th), but I'm waiting until I have the all-clear from sweet Lady Winter to actually play. I get the all-clear around September 21st or 22nd. It descends from her sweet, sweet, frosty lips.
Until that time, I will most likely remain intensely busy, burying myself in work to pass time, yet keeping afloat enough to not drown. Speaking of drowning, I am hauling water for the Wilson's again (their hauler had a heart-attack for the third time again, sadly), so that's adding 5 hours in blinding sun to my week. I will have to see how long this is going to last. Also have to begin making and freezing meals. My parents have gripes with everything, so...I'm not sure what to make.
Soups are all despised...chili is too starchy (no matter how fantastic that starchy cornbread I make is). I guess I could cook up a ham. Chicken gets old too fast. Maybe I should just grind up 400 pounds of beef and make sausage. We can eat nothing but pure meat for a month. How could you complain? Observe:
"Man. This is horrible."
"Yeah, well, that's our homegrown meat."
"THIS IS FANTASTIC! WHERE DID YOU GET THE RECIPE- GOD BLESS THOSE COWS!"
I am coming to the end of my venting, fear not. There's going to be food. I am going to cook it. They will eat it, or...they'll die. Their choice. They can help now in deciding what they want, or suffer the consequences. Otherwise, we're going through a month of Broccoli Casserole and Chicken Spaghetti. Over a month. I thoroughly enjoy both...my parents ruthlessly despise their very existence. Let's see who loses out in this plea bargain, shall we?

It's my Birthday!
Yes! I didn't even know! I went to get water today (1 load for TW, 3 loads for us with 320 over), and I happened to look at the date. I took a picture, below.
It was 115 degrees today, and it was humid (storm post tomorrow or something). It cooled down to 114 by the time I finished getting water. That's better than it heating up to 117. It is amazing how 115 degrees makes you pant yet 114 is bearable. 116 is the point at which (unless you're extensively acclimated) your body begins to shut down (I am serious, you start losing time and stuff).
Anyway, according to the Well calender, it is October 6th, 2003! Oh boy- it's my birthday!
Today, I am 13 years old. According to my Mom. I think I am 14. But at this age, I think I know everything, so that's expected. Oh, I am so stoked, I cleaned my room! I can't wait to see what kind of cake they'll bake me- perhaps one forged of love and devotion! Yes! And you know what they say- if you have three weeks to shop, you spend less than if you have 25 minutes! As for my gift to myself, I bought me two books.
The first book is called Every Heart Restored. Ostensibly, it is "Wholeness and Healing for Women Caught in the Crossfire [of their husbands' divers sexual sin]." This will almost probably certainly come in handy.
Also, I got Every Young Man's Battle. Apparently it is the earlier book Every Man's Battle, but updated and geared towards younger males. It is about how to stay pure in today's world of naked, naked women.
Why did I order the books, you inquire? I saw this dude on the Harvest show last night (I am not a regular viewer- to my knowledge, I have never watched the show). His name was Fred Stoeker, if I recall correctly. He was talking about this, that, and a bottle of Swap! The Drink That's Fun To Eat! (swap pronounced as "slap," with a w). And his book, too.
Plus, I am interested in the subject. I find it absolutely fascinating. Then, the next day, surprisingly it is my birthday. So I thought, what the heck. Every Young Man's Battle cost $4.25, plus $3.49 shipping, and Every Heart Restored cost $2.23, plus $3.49 shipping.
Total was $13.46. Oh boy, I wonder how many presents I will get!!!

The Coolest Christian Black Dude with a Fitness Show Wearing a Partly-Yellow Shirt Ever
Welcome the "Video/Flash Animation" tag.
Below is an embedded player from GodTube.com. Now, either Christians are real smart, or GodTube has tons better video quality than YouTube. I think they do have better video quality, because all the videos look better...and us Christians This video is very long (9 minutes), I mainly enjoy the first part, where he shuffles back, claps, then waves forward. Awesome.
Unlike Scroogle.org, GodTube does not redirect to a porn site if you put .com instead of .org. I just...y'know... wanted to set your mind at ease about that. GodTube watches all videos to make sure they're Christian. I do not know what they're to do about the comments. It seems pretty mild at the moment, I wonder if they just monitor like crazy?
No dc Talk albums today. My Dad's Father's Day book got here- welcome the "For me?!" tag, for all that is a present to someone, birthdays, deathdays, and Fathers Days. I can't believe I'm going to spend money on my Dad for Father's Day. What is wrong with me, Suzie?
I finished reading Left Behind: The Kids #1: The Vanishings. It was just great. 8.5 out of 10.
Welcome the "Book Rating" tag, as I find it different than a review. As I do not know much about books. So I...like...you know, just rate it instead of "review" it. You know?
