Well, I'm not getting a terribly far distance. In fact, I am going through a faltering period, much as when I was sick. Last time I was sick I completely lost the will to continue on with TA, and for weeks afterward. That's how I remember it, at least.
The old refrigerator (we had three fridges, and we have two stand up freezers, Al Gore would kill himself!) got taken away. Actually, we got our neighbors old one (it had a funny smell, and he's a Jew). So, also, my Dad's job needs a refrigerator. So we gave them our old one. And we WERE going to get this new one, the neighbors, but then we realized how much we LOVE the empty space. We could put SHELVES there for the pans and stuff! Oh baby!
Why is this relevant in a TA update post, you ask? Well, that fridge is where I was putting my tape. I put tape up and write on it with a marker I keep in the kitchen. So when I'm doing dishes or something, or cooking, I can just walk over and write down what I just thought of. It has to be tape so that I can then remove it and put it on aluminum foil, and then keep the hard copy. It's a thing I do.
I feel confident I could do some voices. Hopefully at least one of the main character's, and of course a few others. Such as the dudes who try to con people into buying stuff (think: Chet Rippo).
I still haven't figured out what kind of world they would be in. I don't want it to be as the current world (it might offend some people, honestly), but I also want to be able to make jokes about, say, the French. I was originally thinking of having something crazy happen during the 1500's or so, that changes the way things turn out. See, I also want common things- such as, I want ...say an AK-47, not some unnamed, made-up gun no-one will recognize.
The only problem about an incident occurring in 1500's is that then the US wouldn't have been formed. Of course, I could go off the theory that everything still happened as it did. Which I would.
Then again, I also want different things to happen. Such as, I don't want airplanes. Very few- I will attribute that to society's wishes (such as, people will travel less). Helicopters would be used (somewhat extensively) in their stead. Also, less space exploration. I don't know if there will be satellites.
Also, the continents would be closer together (some of them actually merging). Kings would still be around, albeit they would work off of a different system. I don't have the idea of this down yet, but I do know that the "enemy" (IE, not Team's continent) would have a face, or a King which is ...the popular King I guess. Then the actual King behind him, which doesn't make public appearances, but has the real power. The Face would be the dude who makes the speeches, and he would still have a relatively large amount of power. Also, he would be replaced somewhat often (rarely living out their "terms"), as he dies if the people so choose due to civil unrest.
There would be two MAIN continents, and I would like a neutral continent between them. This one would, well, be neutral. There would be a few other smaller continents (like Australia). Weather would be slightly different. I'd like to see a man-made floating island on the other side of the earth, as the continents will be gathered together more-also, extensive sailing. I need to study up on the continents. What do they call that, continentography?
I am having trouble connecting the chapters. I have bits and pieces of the storyline together, including some serious ending ideas, but I need to think of more pieces. Such as, I can't figure out the beginning (you know, how it connects), but I DO think I have an idea for the beginning "enemy." That's right, I am going about this like I'm making a video game, and there are levels. Brilliance!
I don't yet have a grasp of how ruthlessly, brutally difficult it will be making a series like this by myself. Just making it is hard enough, but then I have to get voice actors to work together. It's bad enough finding someone to voice every once and a while, such as the voice for Ness's, uhh, I can't think of the word. Adoptive father, I guess? He will make appearances near the beginning, really all the way through. And definitely at the end, so I'll need someone willing to continue voice acting for several years.
Then, Ness's voice and, God forbid I need to find a VA (voice actor duh) for Dan. I could imagine, that the only way to fully finish the series, would be years of production. I guess an average Flash episode is like, 8 minutes long. And 15 minutes, people get bored. I would say each episode would take two weeks if I REALLY worked on it- and that's only after I have momentum from previous episodes. Probably a month if I didn't work on it THAT much, and some would probably take only a few days if I already had the stuff drawn and just had to animate a bit and put voices and sound effects.
But the voice actor for Ness would, first off, have to be talented. Which would cut off at least 95% of people I would meet in real life- it takes soo much more than the ability to act to be a voice actor. Then, she would have to stick with voice acting- probably often- for years. Or, I could go the other way, and animate it all, then in a few years add sound and voice acting. But boy, that'd be slow work with little payoff until I begin adding voice actors and publishing, also, I'd miss out on any suggestions they may have, and their acting of the characters lines may call for differing expressions or actions, or even lead to a different event occurring. You know?
Of course you do. So now you're somewhat updated, and I've thought out my plans somewhat. I do feel a strong leading from God to join a church. This would open alot of doors.
Like Les Feldick says, God generally talks to you by open and closed doors. If a door is closed, you don't push it, you just wait for the open door. And like Hal Lindsey says, God knows what's good for you, and praying for Him to change that will not end up right. Rebecca St. James is playing right now. I love this song. "Forgive me."
Soo, Song of the Day is "Forgive Me" by Rebecca St. James, on her If I Had One Chance To Tell You Something album!

Homemade (Goat) Soap
Have you ever heard of someone making their own soap? Well, I do it!
Soap is EASY to make... just add some Sodium Hydroxide (lye, harder and harder to get ahold of) to some milk (NOT MILK INTO LYE IT WILL ESPLODE!), then add oil and mix, then add color and a superfatting agent, and scent. Then put it in a mold. Then let it dry.
Well okay, let me techicalize it for you. You won't be making soap unless you're dedicated and smart, and a bit brave. And you will not make soap with the limited information available in this post.
GO OUTSIDE FOR THIS PART, STAND UPWIND, DO NOT BREATH FUMES. Add the sodium hydroxide (caustic soda) to the frosted goats milk (LYE-INTO-MILK OTHERWISE-IT-ESPLODIDS), stir until lye dissolves. Do not leave a stirring stick in it while unattended. Do not...well, don't be stupid! Read up on lye handling.
---Honestly, I hate this part. When I'm measuring the lye part of me is on the ceiling, the other part is on the wall, and my shoes aren't tight enough, it feels as if my elbows are going to pop(what?), and I break out in a cold sweat. I am yet to find out how I produce cold sweat. It would mean a drastic drop in body temperature and, well, you know the rest. The ...you know, I'd die and stuff.
Occasionally I will whimper in terror.
Add your coconut oil, sweet almond oil, avocado oil, olive oil, Castor oil, sesame oil, palm kernel oil, and shea butter to pan dedicated to soap making; I use a 1-gallon, cheapy stainless; you should definitely dedicate a pan to soap making. Melt them together good, then begin letting cool. Good.
Your aim at this point is have the lye mixture and the fat mixture as close to the same temperature as possible, with both lye and fat being within the window of 100-125 degrees. Typically, the fat stays at a pretty stable temperature, so I heat to 120, turn off heat then walk away and tend to the lye. I do not know if the lye can be 'reheated' or not, so I get it right the first time. Whimpering in terror occasionally.
Once they're both in the temperature window of 100-125 degrees, as close together as possible, add the lye mixture into the fats. This part is good to have a stick blender for, as our goal is saponification. omgrofl, "Resistance is futile. You will be saponificated." Oh man, that's WTFBASS, lol. Spell check doesn't know what saponification is. It's all yellow...and not like my normal typos...you know...like WTFBASS. This is a creepy type of typo.
Uhm...so...chances are, neither do you. Saponification is what occurs when lye goes into fat and gets down- one bad apple spoils the bunch, baby! Thus, the oil stops being oil, and the lye stops burning the HELL out of you, and it becomes soap that is mild enough to wash babies' bottoms with! Ah, nature.
During the time it takes for one bad apple to spoil the bunch, you have to stir. This can take an hour by hand, usually less, sometimes more. A Stick Blender gets it done within three minutes if you're any good, and if you suck, within about 15 minutes. Then, you get to trace.
Trace is the point at which the soap thickens a bit into a light custard consistency. Trace is also the name of a hunter in Metroid Prime Hunters but I DON'T HAVE ANY HANDHELD METROID GAMES! WHY GOD, WHY! WHHHHHYYYYYYYYY!!!! AHHHHHAHAHWHHH!11 DAMN ME!!!1 WHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIIIEY!!11 AHHHHHHHHHHIIIIWHAYYYYIIIiiiii!!!!111 YAAAAAhHHHHHHWAAAAGAKKLAALLOOLAEITE!!!!!11oen
/
So uh, once it reaches trace, you add the superfatting oils. Superfatting means adding fat after you've already added fat. Kinda like burying someone after they buried. Which is typically done with an explosion.
What I mean is...that...soap...is lye and oil. When the lye and oil combine, you get soap. But if there's too much lye, you get acid bars- great for exacting revenge on gnomes, not great for cleaning eyelids. If there's too much oil, you get REALLY oily play dough- on paper, it's a great idea, but in 3D, it isn't that great...as it will kill any children or other such short, hapless fool who happens to ingest it. Pie crust dough makes much better oily play dough.
...actually, that didn't explain it well at all! See, there's a saponification chart-- some dude with NO LIFE found out how much lye it takes to convert tons of different fats (they have differing values), including "mowrah" butter, 'emu' oil (on the off chance someone exists who knows what the hell that is), goat fat, soy wax, and kukui butter (so they don't exclude anyone who juices, boils, or picks kukui's's- whatever a damn kukui is). Okay, a kukui is a "candlenut." Yes, when I want to make soap, I reach for a sparkling, pristine candlenut! Oh, how many ways can you be used, oh mighty candle nut. Yes, they say beauty is only skin deep, but you make me consider, candlenut. Your splendor shall last unto the ages.
Yeah no.
Example, it takes 11.2 ounces of lye to turn four pounds of coconut oil into soap. But it would take 9.2 ounces to turn four pounds of olive oil into soap. If you put 11 ounces in four pounds of olive oil, you have laundry soap unsuitable for human use. Great for ogres and trolls.
On the other hand, if you put 9.2 ounces of lye in four pounds of coconut oil, the bar won't clean very well. I have experienced both kinds, and my eyelids have finicked on both versions, strangely enough.
The key is that you add the oil after trace- stuff added after trace isn't saponified. So this 32 ounces of olive oil, 16 ounces of coconut oil, and 16 ounces of palm kernel oil get saponified. But you add this really nice stuff, avocado oil, after they're lyitized. The avocado oil rubs off directly to your skin, as it was not turned into soap. You can put honey at this point, too. I did, in fact. Honey attracts moisture, and avocado oil is ...come on, it's avocado oil. Any oil will work for superfatting.
To wit, you put more lye, so it leaves less excess oil. You need this excess oil, in fact, since you put a bit more lye, you need more of this excess oil. So you superfat it with a REALLY GREAT oil, like avocado. So, instead of having olive, coconut and kernel oil on your skin, you have avocado...if you added the avocado with the other oils, there would be 5% competing with the other 95% of the oils which aren't so awesome.
Get it? Oh well too bad! At trace is also when you add any colorants. Or vitamin E, I think you can add that too. Rose hips or ground roses. Nutmeg and canned pumpkin. Pwnage. Then you add it to a mold, wrap it in plastic wrap (or whatever you line your mold with) so you don't ruin your towel, and wrap the soap in the towel to insulate it. A coat or something will work too. This keeps it warm for the saponification process to complete.
This soap, I don't know if it's that it's homemade or the goat milk, but people who have sensitive skin love it. This stuff can really turn a profit, too! I've seen it sell out in bars. $5 for a 4-ounce bar of soap. Then again, I've sold rocks to decorative granite retailers while they were drunk, so...but anyways, it makes your skin so ...skinly.
I use, and just love the soap-mold-lining instructions at Raindance Soaps. I tried it today. It's like...well...I won't use that as an example...it's like the river dance or something. Something awesome. And beautiful. I want my grave lined that way!
I use the lye calculator at Majestic Mountain Sage, and MMS is also where I order most of my oils from. And my supplies. Colorants and stuff, gloves, pH test strips...oh, and essential and fragrance oils! And stirring sticks, and...well you get the idea. They also give percentage recommendations on most oils they carry.
More on oil properties: Soapnuts Oil Characteristics Chart, Colebrothers Oil Characteristics Chart (this one explains what they do in, like lather or bar hardness), I use The Pigment Lady's colorant instructions because, well, her site is more awesome than the DK Rap.
And Teach Soap for, well, their name explains it all. Neat site, really it's what got me into soap making in the first place. Soap can be made easier without using the goats milk...in fact, I will try that sometime. If you consider soap making, read and reread this site first. Plan and replan, and plan again. Then plan while you're doing it. Good luck, you poor fool.
Song of the Day is...the DK Rap, by, I guess, Rare, developers of Donkey Kong 64. I loved this game, but I am turned off by the simplistic HP system. I mean I'm not usually one for things like that, but it just bothers me...for example, I couldn't get interested in Banjo Kazooie because it has the same system...weird, huh? I heard a rumor some people don't like the DK Rap. They're called morons.

ION --- Water, Reuben Sandwiches
I saw ... in a magazine... THE LOGITECH MX518! My target mouse once I buy a mouse. That's the kinda mouse you could warm up to. Not one of those ... dude mice. I saw it looking in a TigerDirect catalog. While getting water. I am a multitasker apparently.
I used a mouse the other day...I doodled something real fast in Paint. Let me see if I can find it...ah, here it is. See below. I know it sucks, it only took me like fifteen minutes though. I wasn't even gonna save it, but you know how these things go. You even have to save your failures so you can look back on them and chuckle charmingly.

So anyways, I didn't really use a mouse the other day. And I...I have to admit it, I didn't draw that in paint.
I used Photoshop.
Get it? You expect me to fess up, but then I claim I made it again! Hahaha, witty, so witty. (sighs dreamily at own brilliance)
Anyways, today I got water. We used like 350 gallons of water on Monday and Tuesday (above our average for sure). I DID get to meet the guy who runs the well though, so I'm grateful for having to get the extra water. He showed me the inner workings of the place, and revealed that it pumps 1 million gallons a month. That's ALOT of water! 33,000 gallons a day. Average tank size is probably 500 gallons, so there are 66 trips to the well each day. Lots of people have 250 gallon tanks though, probably more than the people who have 750 or 1,000 gallon tanks to balance them out. So ... yeah.
Inside, it's basically two shallow-well pumps inside a little shack (shack is made of brick, you pull up alongside it to get water). 4" PVC coming up from underground, reducing to 3", going into a magnetic flowmeter (measures how much water is pumped), then into the shallow-well pump, then up and into your tank! Awesome.
The computers in there cost $10,000 each. Crazy. It was a good temperature in there though, I surmise that it must get hot in there in the summer time. Thus they have to be heat-resistant like hell.
Oh boy, I remember ... I remember... my fondest memory of water getting.
I had SUCH a great time that day...
That any time I feel down when getting water (it takes 2.5-3.5 hours, and is boring), I just look back to that day...
I had SUCH a great time, that it's still overspilling (water-humor) into these days. Months later. Oh, heavenly bliss of rainfall and watergetting! How my heart yearns, my soul screeches, mud everywhere, a gentle breeze, a thirsty wolf, a Jew, everyone waving, a nail, LoZ: Twilight Princess...(sighs dreamily).
I now know that that day was God showing me what Heaven is like. It seems everyone waved. Everyone. Even that one really old lady who we all think is dead, and that her spirit is driving the car, but she isn't alive but is sitting in the car so you think she's still alive but you never really see her hands/arms move the steering wheel ... and her corpse is haunted. Also the car runs off of "spectre power," which is another indication we all go off of. We call her Aunt Dead Haunt. It rhymes, some kid made it up, we live with it. Also "Auntie Dead Hauntie."
Man that was the best water getting day ever.
It was raining, it was early in the morning, it was cold...man...when I think of that, I just forget time, and ...oh man, I need to go get a sparkling water. Whew. Okay. It was cold...so cold... raining ...oh man I can't do this. I'm sorry.
So uh, we had Reuben Sandwiches for dinner tonight. I make Russian Dressing (1 c. mayo, 1/4 c. ketchup, 1 T. hot horseradish (not sauce- grated, in the condiment aisle prolly), 1 t. grated onion which is important), then arrange Rye Bread, dressing, corned beef (I boiled it up today!)/other meats (any will do- uhh, use hot dogs cut in thirds if you like?!), cheese (preferably swiss), sauerkraut, more sauce (sauerkraut and sauce depend on personal taste), top with bread, wrap in aluminum foil and bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes turning once, preferably on a sheet pan (which helps browning slightly). I suggest checking at 20 then putting in for additional 5-10 minutes if you so wish.
OKAY HOLD ON!
...
Alright. Okay...I had to go outside real quick. I had my blankiiiiet ...in the dryer, and it's a full-looking moon, so I wasn't too sure. It went behind the clouds so I sprinted like a Jaguar going to turn off its alarm clock before it disturbs the fluffy little bunny that happened upon its cave and is sleeping.
I got the blanket. I could just imagine the vile demon-beast springing behind a tree, transforming back into a man as the full moon disappeared behind the clouds, torn clothes hanging off every which way. Staring at me, en angered, starving...saliva still dripping, like a rabid ghoul on a playground in the middle of the night, hunting for any human flesh to infect...then ... I disappear into the house ... IT TRANSFORMS BACK INTO THE FLESH EATING DEMON BEAST IT WAS A MERE TWO MINUTES AGO! OH MY GOSH IT MUST BE TRYING TO SEE THROUGH MY WINDOW RIGHT NAAWWAAWOOOW!!!!!!!
Alright time to go. It is that one episode of X-Files. With the werewolf I think. I think it's just a shapeshifter. Ooh, it just flipped a cop car. This'll be good.
Song of the Day is Believe by the Newsboys on their Shine: The Hits album. Mwahaa,a...wait, I forgot about the werewolf OUTSIDE MY HOUSE AS I NOW TYPE, I was so excited about the werewolf on TV. Eh I'll worry about that when I'm trying to get to sleep.
Just...trying to get to sleep...all alone...darkness...
I used a mouse the other day...I doodled something real fast in Paint. Let me see if I can find it...ah, here it is. See below. I know it sucks, it only took me like fifteen minutes though.

Oh My Gosh! It's all true!
Yes, I thought that the possibility of two women (gulp)- kissing, was impossible!
I know, you probably thought the same thing I did- that it was physically impossible for two women to kiss. I mean, it's just impossible! It's like interlocking gears, or something- their teeth don't add up. Or...so I had heard.
Luckily, Bill O'Reilly, on 'The O'Reilly Factor' today (March 29th), featured lots of pictures and video clips of women kissing. It's all true, and now we know, thanks to Mr. O'Reilly! Now, I didn't think it was possible, but all of the extremely graphic pictures and video clips- repeated in slow motion, zoomed-in, and paused, of course- proved me wrong. So wrong indeed.
Not only that, but, in fact, some women (girls) expose their bodies on spring break- D00D! When did this stuff start happening?! I'm just so, so grateful, that someone, somebody in that raging sea of faces, all clamoring to be heard, got through with such a message in dire need of being heard!
I didn't think this kind of stuff happened- this is the stuff of fairy tales, and horror stories, and Cloud Fluff(tm) Penguin Slushies (a flavor at least if not also a cup design), reserved for high-definition CGI rendered Hollywood movies, and crappy screenplays written by bad actors.
Yes, if it wasn't for The O'Reilly Factor repeating very graphic clips of women making out, exposing their bodies, dancing like caged jackals (seriously, you would agree with that description), and guzzling booze, no one would have any idea any of this sort of thing ever happened! Yes, it would be REALLY difficult to think such a thing could ever happen, and even more so if they didn't show it to us zoomed-in and in slow motion.
Very skilled pausing and zooming in, O'Reilly's crew. Bravo! Truly inspired- groundbreaking. Bravo, encore, encore, bravo.
...I hope my brutal sarcasm made its point.
Please note, it isn't just this episode- out of the last five episodes I've seen, three have had content like this.
Maybe I'm just being a hater, but this isn't important to me. I mean, I guess I'm an anomaly, someone who knows things such as this happen when you get thousands of teenagers drunk in a confined space, and would...you know...not let my children get drunk with thousands of other teenagers in a confined space...
He SHOULD have put it up on his website or something. Or just told parents to search for "Spring break college" in Google. So now O'Reilly is on my list of shows to not watch. That's todays big news. That sucks too, he was alright.
Sheila Richards is on (hosting) KLove right now. She said, "Well, the thing right now is college basketball, but maybe you're thinking to yourself: "I...don't really care."" Such perfect emphasis on "I...don't really care." Fabulous, hehhehheh. My exact thought too! Hah! I think I will get by just fine with KLove and Jihad Watch.
Song of the Day is Here I Am by Michael W. Smith on his Healing Rain album. I think that the Metroid Prime title music just might be the greatest music to ever grace a videogame title screen... if I can't sit down properly by the time Metroid Prime 3 comes around, I am going to commit suicide.

The Vomit Stick
I made a typo. In the TITLE of my last post. Kev the Destroyed... I think I need a drink.
Lemonade, nature's freakish mutated thirst-feeder. Two lemons...quarter cup or so of sugar...enough water to be able to drink it in liquid form! Ha! So it is raining. Was, is in the middle...or will be on and off, is what I mean. Not too horrible, just some rain. Welcome the 'Weather' tag, replacing the 'Rain' tag.
Not very good pictures, either, so I'll just post one. IT IS AT THE LEFT!
pwnted!
This is a picture taken out of our front door. Or back door. It's like, if there was a basement, and somebody said it was an attic. And you're like, "no, it's a basement." Then they tell you to get the hell out of their house and you're like, "what is his promleb".
Just enough rain to make the bales of hay weigh lots more, it seems...
*Sneeze.* It is time for a house blessing (or, maintenance cleaning) really. Gotta get some junk thrown out. Let's see, what can I throw out...lots of stuff. Lots of stuff that is "too valuable" to throw out...
Anyways...today, my Mom bursts into my room. KEV! she yells, no wait, she was just talking annoyedly. KEV she says annoyedly. "Yes, dear mother, whom I love with about 53% of my heart, whose womb I proceeded out of in the day of my deliverance into this world?"
"I THOUGHT YOU WERE GONNA LEAVE ME A SPATULA! GRRRAAAH!!!!!" she spat. "Oh, yes, I am terribly sorry, dear Dad's wife. I seem to have forgotten, please forgi-" I am cut off: "GET THE DAMN SPATULA, HURRY IT UP, I AM MAKING YOUR DAD'S BREAKFAST!" We all use "I'm doing (insert thing) for Dad! So help me help him!" for some reason, like we have to trick eachother or something.
She makes him eggs and puts them in bread and puts a slice of cheese in with it all I think. Nothing special, so I get her the spatula. Henry the spatula. Oh, he is my favorite. I stir pozole with him, I stir gumbo with him. I fry chinese fried rice and stir fry with him also, and if I already have a spatula, I will go out of my way and wash Henry to use him. Oh, Pozole is where he shines. I love you man, I love you.
But poor Henry. Due to my ignominious neglect to get the other spatula, well...he is now covered in noodle vomit. Tis a shame. Also, my Mom had the nerve to take down the smaller pile of bowls and stuff. So my brother got a bowl and the other pan. I will let them keep that pan...they won't be able to keep up with scrubbing it without me anyways.
Tiger and Precious lay on the spine of the couch I am typing from, surprisingly close to eachother. The white one is Precious. She has the same mom as Tiger, but is a few years younger. When Tiger ran away that one time for two days, Precious is one of the two cats we got to replace him. That's just how it goes around here.
HER direct sister is named Vicious. Precious and Vicious, and the names fit. Vicious is oft-times nicked as Satan Incarnate, Satan, Evil, Evil Cat.
Precious is nicked as Presh. Tiger is called Fag, Faggy, Gay Cat, or Twinkle toes. Sometimes called Tiger. This has been a Kev's Cats Tidbit.
As pertains to the above, welcome the "Pets" tag, for animals which are Pets, such as the cats and dogs, or animals I feel favorably towards.
Like I said though, I am allowing myself to not care. So my brother walks into my room today while he was making noodle vomit and asks me if I'm sleeping. He took occasion by the phone ringing, which usually wakes me up. So he comes in and says "Hey Kev can I have a spoon?" so I cleverly tell him there are plastic spoons in the silverware drawer. Hahaha. I mean, damn. That laugh sounded cruel.
Then he comes back in some time later, dunno when. A few hours, or like twenty minutes, I have no sense of time. And asks again. "Kev, can I have a spoon?" to which I reply again, "What about the plastic ones?" then he holds up one and says "this?!" and I say "yep!" and he says "fine Kev you broke my heart!!" and storms out. Well, he only had my door cracked, so he really just like, closed my door, but uh...he closed it in a 'storm out' fashion. A while later I think I heard him crying. Though, he is very well known for pretending to cry.
So, I figure I should at least give him a utencil to stir his vomit with, as he is apparently unable to make ANY compromises, such as just having a sandwich, for ANY duration of time. Thusly I award him one of my least-favorite utencils (I threw out his old vomit stick), which is surprisingly a Kitchenaid. Picture of the Vomit Stick is at right.
It is so damn top heavy it will flop out of anything really, I don't like it. My Mom loves it. I have given her back her alcohol ice breaker, or better known as "pasta fork" or "pasta scoop."
Note the unnecessary splatters of tomato sauce and the crumbs- CRUMBS - around the burner. Also note the use of an electric knife's blade as a normal knife... sheesh. It's the knife I will use on the turkey this weekend. Which I still have to plan for, apparently today is thursday? That means today or tomorrow for the Blowgun, or I wait until Monday. It...could be out there as we speak!!
Tiger and Precious have migrated from the spine of the couch to half-laying on me, you know how cats and dogs do...notice the new layout (as of last night)! It is Minima Stretch. I don't like how it looks alot right now, so I will edit it a bit later and make a post about it. Expect a TA update within the next week lol? I think the Rambling tag will go with posts which have alot of different topics where I ramble alot- like I'm doing as we speak.
Song of the Day is In Wonder by (the) Newsboys on their Go album. It is starting to rain more. So long sucker!!

Tiger's Attraction to Wii Paddles
My ear hurts. My left one. It feels like I've been listening to music too loud. You know what they sa...hm. I am resting my head on my arm when I type, and when I type, as my uhh...arm...types, it makes a sound like someone hitting a cymbal. PSSH! BSSH!
That's alright I guess. That's my right arm I'm resting my head on, my left one sounds like a bagpipe. Good tune, too. Then the cymbal. BSSH BSSH BSSH PSSH goes my right arm with each touch of a key.
So anyways, my cat's name is Tiger. Well I have two cats. For now we'll concentrate on the eldest, about five years, named Tiger (he got his balls cut off). Pictured at right, floating in tropical bliss. He had a brother (Speedy, all black, green eyes), but his brother is ah...how do I put this...planted? About two-three years ago. You understand, like, he got hit by a car, then his sweet, sweet bodily organs and juices got devoured by various scavenger beasts.
Maybe I shoulda just said he got hit by a car. Anyways the people were kind enough to bury him a little bit. The only problem is he got drug out, then they devoured his sweet, sweet bodily organs and juices.
Actually, it mighta been a truck. Either way, the fact remains. His sweet, sweet bodily organs and juices were devoured by scavenger beasts. Thus this post gets the Death tag reserved for Death, as it was a Death suffered. I feel bad for Tiger and my Mom. Tiger went out to smell his grave. He would lay out there for days just...laying there...he didn't eat or drink...
It took about a week. He would bring dead animals to the grave and lay them there. He would dig a little sometimes, and sometimes he would just meow really loud...more like a like...you know, a moan or something. He missed him so much...he built Speedy a gravestone, too, and kept it stocked with fresh flowers.
Tiger and Speedy pictured at left, competing in the Synchronized Bathing competition in Momsh'room.
...wait (presses earpiece to hear better). Okay hold up...maybe he didn't mourn Speedy's death. Hold on hold on...oops, sorry. I DID make it up. Sorry about that...whew boy...
Okay sorry. I uh, so, after we buried Speedy, we took Tiger out there and he could tell Speedy was buried there, so we kept Tiger inside for like two weeks so he wouldn't get too sad. He really did start getting a little depressed/scared when he smelled his gravesite...poor guy. Speedy, he had his sweet, sweet bodily organs and juices devoured relentlessly and, most likely violently by vicious scavengers. Tiger, he had to deal with the mental trauma associated with losing a brother...much, much worse, right?
I like the Wii system. Awesome system. And I am non-combative when it comes to other systems. I don't have experience with them so I will not pretend to. If someone says, "Man, the Wii sucks. PS3 is SO innovative!" I would probably, you know, break their arms so...I WILL defend what I know, but I won't go making claims about personal preferences, such as, maybe some people like eating ice cream with citric acid sprinkled on top they're called crackheads but that doesn't make them freaks. System preference is a personal thing, and not logically based. That much is obvious if you are intellectually honest.
So I get kinda...like...wigged out...when I see Tiger playing with a Wii paddle. I call controllers Paddles by the way, I can't help it. I say "controller" but I say "paddle" first, then 'controller' is crammed into the last e, and it isn't audible. Try it. Try to say 'controller' in the time it takes you to say the e in 'paddle.' Hard huh? Yes, it is a silent e...so, you know, logically. And all...and uh...yeah...
Dunno what it is he likes so much about them. It's something to do with the cords. I think he thinks they're strings. Or maybe...the Wiimote falls, then drags the Nunchuk with it, so he has fun chasing them? Hmm. I bet that's it. Man...thanks for talking with me, I feel alot better now.
I am failing miserably in getting the water. The garbage cans are out there though, so I will be able to throw more things out. My poor parents are so mentally traumatized. And yet they feel bad for me because I can't sit down...
Song of the Day is He Is Called Jesus (Simeon) by Todd Agnew (uhm and Friends?) on his Do You Hear What I Hear? CD. It has came to my understanding that there are certain songs that are just like...timeless? I think that's the word. Such as God Help Me and The Orphan. Timeless.

Thanksgiving in March.
In about a week I'll be making, I think my first-ever thanksgiving feast prepared all by myself. My Mom will be making the rolls, as is traditional.
My family always complains. "KEV THESE POTATOES ARE TOO STARCHY!" and I'm like, "Who, who's touched you child? Now you can't feel a thing, not aaanything." They don't get it. It's a mind-boggler for them...then I walk out of the room. If I am wearing my chefs hat, I try to let that trail as I leave the room. Classical. Sort of classical-modern-humorous. Yes yes yes and a side of toast.
The usual is on the menu. A turkey we have left from last thanksgiving (we couldn't eat the good turkey without my Pa!) is the meat. So:
Is the current official list. It's alot of food, but we deal in leftovers for meals like this, you better believe it. Plus we are a household with three cooks, I have to set myself apart lest I get trampled in the race. Just finished listening to the entire If I Had One Chance album. I am restarting it. DAMN, that's a good song.
I am going to record myself as I cook. Well, for the active moments at least. I mean, I won't really be...you know...like, taping the oven cooking the turkey. Only when I'm stirring a sauce or something. Overreacting when I taste it. "WHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOAAAAA I AM ON THE MOOOOON THIS SAUCE RAAAWWKKXXXX!!!", great my tissue dried out. There we go...I've mentioned Mr. Tissue before, or Miss Tish, if it happens to be a girl tissue. I only have blue tissues though. Not that I have an aversion to the color pink.
Anyways, the REAL meal is the following week. Two corned beef roasts. Lots of pepper. My favorite meal for reals. Nothing comes close to corned beef for me, although I don't know if it gets old or not. No particular sides (side dishes). Just me...a corned beef roast...the lights turned down low...some romantic music...pepper...I can't wait! It makes me wanna crack myself over the head with a baseball bat just thinking about it! But I would not that I do it, lest I should perish!
Song of the Day is Alive by Rebecca St. James on her If I Had One Chance To Tell You Something album. Earliest posted SOTD yet? I could just see posting all of her songs in a row. Apparently she is a very talented artist. It really comes across in her music. Get it? Yes, because, well, if she is a talented artist, and her medium is music, it WOULD come across in her music...get it?...
So:
- Turkey
- Gravy
- Mashed Potatoes
- Honey-glazed Carrots
- Green beans Amandine (best name evar!)
- Black-eyed Peas
- An Appetizer platter of Vegetables with ranch dip, serving as a Salad of sorts
- A platter with Salami, and Black and Green olives
- Cranberry Sauce (noooooot liiiiiiiikely)
- Potato Rolls
- Stuffing
- Pumpkin Pie (2 of them)
- Pecan Pie (2 of them)
- Sticky-D's World Famous, All You Can Eat Chocolate Chunky Poopy Pie (just 1)

No Posters For Fanboy Kev
My Mom is putting up pictures. Pictures of me and mine. It's so creepy... they're all looking at us.
She counters by saying "Yeah, but look at that creepy -expletive deleted- there." (Referring to my beloved picture of Yuri Prime which hangs on the wall not in a frame, in non-stylish black and white).
So, I must counter. How will I do that? I will get a beautiful color picture of Yuri Prime. I understand that there's some porn star named Yuri, and worser things than that (including unspeakable evil), so let me just clear this up, Yuri Prime is a mind-controlling Russian madman/dictator who cloned himself (thus he is Yuri Prime, and his clones are not 'Prime') from the game Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge (which is great!). He was fond of throwing people into giant woodchippers ("grinders") then making use of the 'organic materials' from their ground bodies. Also tanks. He ground those, too.
You know, the porn star may be named 'Uury," and people are too stupid to know. Could you imagine Red Alert 2: Uury's Revenge? Creepy. "I am Uury...obey me."
(Edit 6/29/2008: You kind of have to hear it to get the joke. Maybe then you won't even get it. Search YouTube for "I am Yuri" and that should bring it up if the link breaks. Point is, guy's creepy.)
I loved the Red Alert 2 games. I still do. They're like, "Wow Kev, buy me on DVD, you won't regret it." and I'm like, "Baby, I can't sit down and play you, and that means I can't use a mouse!" then they're like "Aww, that's too bad. I'm sorry." and then I breaks down crying.
I mean, like, sobbing...
So anyways...I can't find a poster of Yuri. I could find THOUSANDS of posters of various people such as sports stars, actors, movie posters, etc. Yet there is no Yuri Prime poster. O my troubled heart.
Watch this, I will do a search for "dude good sports star poster," and let's see how many posters I find. 970,000 different posters.
Now I will do a search for "dude evil mind-controlling dictator poster." 982 results which are non-poster related. This has the words "evil," "dude," "dictator," and there was not a mention of posters in the advertisements.
So I think to myself, "Well, for some reason...dunno why, I'm thinking of Metroid Prime. Maybe there's a good Metroid Prime poster."
I found one poster on eBay. Wrinkled up, torn apart, apparently used as a baby diaper. Repeatedly. They have a special room in hell reserved for them I am sure.
So I will stick to trying to enlarge the box art then get it printed in a bigger size. I will need a good-sized frame, as he will be the centerpiece. See, my Mom, she put up like, twelve pictures. I get one. It only makes sense that I should get to put one up that's the size of twelve pictures, right? I'm thinking like 4'x6'.
Here is Yuri at the right. He has the coolest half-beard thing. Or, evilest rather. Yeah. That.
Day one of waiting for my Terminator Blowgun. I just hope I get a few days practice before my Dad gets home, so that he will lose. Shipping COULD take two weeks, you know...
Sure is weird how cheap they are. I mean, they are basically 3/8" conduit with a funnel on one end, but still. I think I will mostly be stunning birds for no particular reason. Suckers.
I was reading Corinthians today. Neat book I think. I will finish it by tonight hopefully. Oh, and that also means I finished Romans finally. Corinthians has some things I don't understand in it, usually I can easily pick up on what is being said...like...ah, I get it now. Meat not as in TURKEY, meat as in food. "Sit at meat."
Song of the Day is 'God Help Me' by Rebecca St. James on her If I had One Chance To Tell You Something album.
My Mom hates Rebecca St. James because she thinks she's a lesbian. Since I am at the age I should begin rebelling, it is my duty to develop a passion for Rebecca St. James' music. God Help Me is really a fantastic fight song though, independent of my having to rebel.
I will post a brief second half to the Sick One post sometime. I have not forgotten. Now if you'll excuse me I need to get some chocolate milk. It's chocolate and milk, but not fully either. Mystifying.

Heh heh heh.
I have a certain disdain for the word 'heh'. It just seems disrespectful to me...to you, maybe it would be like me saying "wahaha!" whilst jumping about. Maybe, flailing my arms, in the manner of, say, a chimp of some sort. Yes, difenatilie. Maybe not. Either way, "heh heh heh" is fine to me, as it's a type of sinister, or, dare I say it, evil laugh.
Or, God forbid, (evil) CHUCKLE! And chuckle is only one letter away from CHUCKLES, and Chuckles was one bad parakeet. *shudders*. Chuckles could talk. Like a parrot. He drove people insane. See artist's rendition of Chuckles, at right.
"YOU CAN'T DO THAT!" They'd exclaim. "STOP IT! NO! YOU'RE NOT A PARROT! N-NUH GET'AWAY!" (Chuckles was not getting closer to them in any way.)...they eventually had to move Chuckles to a building surrounded by water, so that when people jumped out to 'end their suffering,' they'd land in the water.
The water was kept at like 50 degrees, which took their mind off of Chuckles. One remedy to Chuckles Syndrome was convincing the patients that they heard the voice in their own head. It was easier for them to deal with that, rather than that a parakeet can talk. Shame really.
Chuckles was known to wear a lab coat and sunglasses, not necessarily at the same time. He also had many followers, much like...what's that one dude's name...Nostradamus. Chuckles died peacefully of natural causes, after a lifetime of eating many crackers including flour less (for passover!), fruit crackers, and crepe crackers. He loved those crepe crackers. He liked them with a side of cream and some apricot hearts. Yes, for Chuckles, apricot trees gave up their richest fruit. Rest in peace, Chuckles. Rest in peace burd.
So anyways, now that I've honored Chuckle's memory, onto the main topic of the post.
I should have called the post "Blowgun." Yes, all beware, I am arming myself forthe revolution to hunt birds. Heh, heh, heh. Okay, well, there aren't really any birds around here...but uh......I suppose there IS a purpose to having a blowgun. What if I ever want to kill a squirrel, or hunt bunnies next door? Or...what if there's a killer snake outside, and I have to put a dart in it's face?!?! OR A WEREWOLF!
I can't shoot a werewolf in the brain with a dart if I don't have a DDS (dart deliver system)! Sheesh! Moron. So I'm going to order the Bunker Buster purple swirl color model. I like the color purple when swirled with black, what can I say. Also, I like the classicality of it. I am a classic person. Not the music though the music sucks.
$27.00: One Bunker Buster Blowgun in purple swirl, 36" two-piece model
$3.00: A plastic handle grip
$2.00: 10 Stinger darts
$4.50: 100 paint balls (assorted colors)
I also ordered a few more things, but for your safety as well as mine, and my ability to live lawfully under the laws of the Arizona law book thing, (courthouse) I will not mention them here. It was not pepper spray, and was not a telescopic baton. Just you know, so you can stop thinking it is both of those things. That I mentioned. The pepper spray and telescopic baton. Was not those.
I ordered it under my alias name, "Kevinsky Stewartsky." They'll never know who I am, as I slowly submerse myself inside my cloak of indiscernity, much like an alligator sinks into a pond to await its prey. Hehehe.
So yeah, my Dad will have some surprises waiting for him when he gets back. I'll have like, forty birds shot dead. I don't consider myself a killer. I consider myself a hunter. I kill animals. I wouldn't hurt a fly either. I've killed three birds in my entire life. I've killed five turkeys. I don't consider myself cruel. Let's stick with that one...
I'll update you on my progress. I will have to use my Mom's car tires as practice, so...well, she'll update you on my progress, too.
Song of the Day is Great Is Thy Faithfulness by the Newsboys, on their Adoration: The Worship Album CD. Me and my Mom have the same number of posts for 2007. We'll see who wins it in '08. This post took me three hours. Aren't I the fastest typer ever?
Jayme:
Are you gonna cook that thing for dinner?

(moment interrupted; distractedly) No...

The New Couch
Today my Mom found a new couch at a Goodwill for $50. I think I mentioned we got rid of our old couch. It was falling apart, and had dog all over it (that's my Mom's mutt for you). I learned that getting a couch OUTSIDE is MUCH more difficult than getting one in.
For the old one, I had to use a sledgehammer on it, and a razor blade, and a cat's paw, and I had to break it's back (which left me sore for days, that was a pretty strong couch), and it took like an hour to do. Then I tipped it out the door and let it crash down into the junk pile, which is the stuff we will take to the dump. We want to do that before my Dad gets back from jail.
Which means I have until the 24th to clean, after that I need to climb back down the mountain and get back to my life...or the lack of said life. So I will make myself a schedule. First off, I NEED A CAMERA DAMNIT MOM GIVE ME A DAMN SD CARD!!!
...
So uh, I need to make a list of things that need doing, then just portion them out to days. Like today the turkey birds need feeding, so I will not be able to invent the car which works off of oxygen. Thanks alot, turkey birds.
To clarify, 'turkey birds,' are a joke referring to the chickens. My Mom is dumbfounded by things like that. Like if I say "the Milk Cows," she starts rolling on the ground, frothing at the mouth until I explain that I meant 'goat.' And if she is dumbfounded by things like that, then others will be.
My goodness, the cats just LOVE this couch! Precious is sleeping on it, and so is Tiger. Precious enjoys sleeping on the back of the couch, but that's hard to do when there's no couch, so she's now happy. I can use my laptop on it. Speaking of which, my battery is getting low. Here we go!
Oh my oh me oh woopdedee. My Mom is out of options- OOO. "Hmm," she thinks to herself. "How will I clean mine room? It is filthy; behold, filth drops from the walls, the ceiling is aflame in the bright turquoise flame of wretchedness; to wit, it is unclean, and I have not the time for removing the filth."
In steps Kev...
"BEHOLD, thus says Kev thine son, who proceeded from thy womb: Dear Mommy, I wilt clean thine room. The only thing I ask in return...is for your permission to throw out anything I have to. Signe Thoue Heree."
"And in that day, Kev shall bring forth both garbage cans, and place them in the way of the door of the room: He will utterly destroy all which be, whether they be gold records from the fragmented yellies*, obsolete videotapes, or unused linens; none shall be spared his much wrath. In that day ye shall plead, "Kev, please don't throw that out.", yet Kev shall not hear you, neither cave to your demands: and shall cast they the unprofitable into outer darkness: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth."
Commentary: Now, here it appears Kev is indicating that when his Mom is forced to allow him to clean her room, she will be signing a... sort of a metaphorical pact with the devil...and "none shall be spared his much wrath." Then he goes on to explain that his Mom will ask him to spare something, and this brings us to reference another writing:
42 And now I (Speed the movie, a tape) ask one petition of thee, deny me not. And Kev's Mom said unto him, Say on.
43 And he said, Speak, I pray thee, unto Kevin the Destroyer, (for he will not say thee nay,) that he spare me from his much wrath.
44 And Kev's Mom said, Well; I will speak for thee unto the destroyer.
45 Kev's Mom therefore went unto the Destroyer Kevin, to speak unto him on behalf of a tape. And the destroyer rose up to meet her, and bowed himself unto her, and sat down in his recliner, and caused a couch to be set for the destroyer's mother; and she sat on his north-left.
46 Then she said, I desire one small petition of thee; I pray thee, say me not nay. And the destroyer said unto her, Ask on, my mother: for I will not say thee nay.
47 And she said, Spare the tape to be given to Matt thy brother to watch.
48 And the destroyer Kevin answered and said unto his mother, And why dost thou ask Speed the tape for Matt? ask for him the kitchen also; for he is mine elder brother; even for him, and for Mochi the rat, and for noodle vomit, the offspring of Satan.
49 Then the destroyer Kevin sware by the LORD, saying, God do so to me, and more also, if Matt has not spoken this word against his own right to cook.
50 Now therefore, as the LORD liveth, which hath established me, and set me on the throne of David my father, and who hath made me an house, as has occured, Matt shall have his cooking privileges revoked this day.
51 And the destroyer Kevin sent by the hand of Napoleon the son of Kev's imagination; and he fell upon him (Kev's brother, Matt) that his cooking privileges were provoked.
Commentary: You see, it appears that when his Mom does indeed agree to have her room cleaned, all hell will break loose for anything in there. Also, Kev is apparently already partway to removing his brother's cooking privileges. I have to plead with you this day, my heart goes out to you. If you haven't removed anything precious to you from your room, do that now; don't wait until it's too late. I must go now, and I leave you with a parting verse. Goodnight, and Godspeed.
Song of the Day is Mercy in Me by Todd Agnew on his Reflection of Something CD. I haven't yet had the chance to listen to the Rebecca St. James CD that got here today- Wait For Me- The Best Of Rebecca St. James. Got here really fast (shipped from Tempe, AZ)
It has one good song on it so far, and I've only listened to one song. The uh, I forget what it's called. K-Love played it back when though.
Back when is like a year ago. I Kings chapter 2 verses 16-25 are the verses I altered.
For the old one, I had to use a sledgehammer on it, and a razor blade, and a cat's paw, and I had to break it's back (which left me sore for days, that was a pretty strong couch), and it took like an hour to do.

Sorry About That Evil Thing I Do
Edited and updated Saturday, June 16th, 2007
Today I cleaned my room. It took one hour, it would have taken about thirty minutes, but I had to clean out the tissues. You ever see the Matrix? When Neo touches that mirror? Or, my preferable scenario, in Metroid Prime 2, when Samus touches that crazy sticky mirror-like shield thing? Well, that's what my TV screen is like. Sticky, flexible, and it blocks dark energy when energized by Light Energy.
Except my TV screen "set" with tissues in it. So they're embedded into the glass. Also, I was surprised to see that the tissues had formed a militia, and ripped the stuffing out of my pillow, hiding it under my bed, and took up residence. I was really wondering why my pillow is so lumpy and uncomfortable lately, now I know. Curse those tissues.
The cat litter pan was in desperate need of changing. I dumped the litter into the garbage can and replaced it with some litter from CostCo. Precious isn't quite sure if she approves yet, seeing's how that filthy woman (my Mom) got it for her. Precious hates my Mom, by the way.
On the Brother Front
Welcome to the brother front. Two days ago I decided to stop caring about the kitchen. I am on strike. I have not washed dishes in two days. Whoo, what a whirlwind. I discovered the cure to AIDS, wrote TEN screenplays which all won gold medals at the Olympics they were so good, and also I solved world hunger AND a Rubik's cube AT THE SAME TIME, many consider me to be the anti-Christ at this point.
Yet, still, the dishes are piling up. I salvaged all that I could and sheltered them on top of the 'fridge. Not many. Four bowls, two measuring cups, a fork, a potato peeler. Go forth, and multiply upon the face o...sorry. You're...you're inanimate.
I tried just taking away the noodles at first, but I got tired of his moping.
He is alternating between two different tunes:
Mope to the left, Mope to the right, Mope mope mope it brings me delight!
and
MOPE MOPE MOPE, MOPE MOPE MOPE, MOPE YOUR BOOTY,
He would just sit there, for hours, and hours, one time, I timed him at ten hours 53 minutes, a...wait sorry no no, like twenty minutes. I mistook minutes for hours. The solution is we all suffer- no matter how much he mope, mope, mopes, there's no helping him. Today, he used the last clean pan, a one-gallon pan, to heat up a can of beans (dip).
It was a nice can of beans. Good kid. Never caused trouble, wouldn't hurt a fly. (detective voice) Yet still the forces of fate arrive to strike down the best of us, and he was no exception. It's n...ahem, it was a 16 ounce can of beans.
Do you know how many ounces is in a gallon?
Well, there's two tablespoons in an ounce.
Six teaspoons in two tablespoons.
Three teaspoons, one tablespoo OH MAN, I'm going the wrong way.
Okay, there's 8 ounces in an 8-ounce cup.
There are 4 cups in a quart.
There are 4 quarts to a gallon.
8 * 4 is most probably 32.
So, 32 ounces in a quart.
32 * 4 is 128 ounces.
My family can't seem to get this down. I don't know why. They're always asking me, "Kev, what the HELL is this?!...WHAT THE HECK! KEV! WHAT IS THIS!?", and I'm like, "Dude, there's FOUR quarts to a gallon." then they're like "Oh, right. Thanks Kev!" Really, I had to explain to them, sloooooowly:
Kev: Listen, guys, a Metroid is like a space vampire- in space...
Family: (scribbles notes)
Kev: It...ALRIGHT, YOU CAN WRITE THEM BUT YOU CAN'T PASS THEM! READ THAT OUT LOUD MISTER! ------->
Family: (sigh)...Metroids suck!
Kev: Very good you're learning! So...
Kev: Onto our next topic, "The Second World War in Two Minutes," then onto "The First World War in One Minute..."
So uh, I got a little off course there. Sorry. So like I was saying, a 16 ounce can of beans, being heated up in a 128+ ounce pan.
I created a visual aid to help you out if you're having trouble envisioning this. Let it all sink in...yes...see how small the can is...see how big the pan is...
Beans, the San Francisco Treat!
Now consider to yourself why one would use such a big pan for such a small can of the San Francisco Treat?
See, the pan is so big, there was more left on the side of the pan from pouring it into a serving dish than what there was in the can to begin with. So he basically had to open a second can just to get the first can out, and the first can got left in there. Probably most of the second can, too. I think he might of eaten out of an electric juicer's juice bowl...it's none of my concern though.
Not today.
Song of the Day is Where Were You by Todd Agnew on his Reflection of Something CD.
Arby's for dinner. Yeesh, they're expensive...also, I didn't get a chance to upload the picture of the Challah vegetable sandwiches yet as my camera has no memory card as my Mom can't share any of her three! AND AFTER I PUT HER THROUGH COLLEGE!

Challah Bread and Vegetable Sandwiches
The rabbi sliced the warm bread in huge sections,
At this point, I'm drooling. I mean, literally, and not too many things make me drool, and alot less things make me drool ever since I saw that one picture of my mom. You know, that *adorable* picture of me- and my brother- nursing. Yes, yes, I wanted to see that, dear mother. By the way, was Brad Pitt always so hottT? Capital T gifriend!
slathered them with butter and the sauce,
Butter and mayo sauce, what more could you want?
applied slices of the cucumber and cheese,
Yeah baby, cucumber and cheese.
then put apple slices on the side and slid a plate in front of Buck.
Yeah, apple slices, baby. Mm, mmm. Slide some of that on over here, doug. Doug is my way of parodying fools' use of "dawg." I think it's ironic in a way.
So did you know what blockquotes were? I didn't. I heard Robert mention them on JihadWatch.org, and tried them. Nice stuff there. Anyways.
I think I've mentioned it before. In case I haven't, I happen to like Jew Food Challah Bread. You COULD just call it Challah bread, but then people don't get the funny feeling you dislike Jews. And in this world, people having a funny, uncomfortable feeling that you're an anti-Semite is gold.
I...well, it isn't really, but it gives people a REALLY funny feeling about you. I mean, you know, they think you're joking, and don't really have a reason to think that, but they "...just have a funny feeling about him, okay?" Heh heh heh. Suckers. In other news, somebody accused me of being self-destructive? Where do they come up with these character assassinations?
What I do with the bread is make vegetable sandwiches out of it. Oh, Abba, they are so good. It doesn't make sense how good they are. You know what? They must be a witch. Dammit. I KNEW it. I knew it, but I didn't care! I STILL don't care! Dammit!
I first read about it, like I said, in the pages of Tribulation Force (Book #2 in the Left Behind series). I really like that series. It is an inspiration to me, the style...Jenkins did a good job. I truly believe that he set an example for me. Sounds like it's time for me to write a fanmail.
Anyways, the scene starts on page 380, and 381 is the notable page...I guessed the sauce (it would either be mayo-sour cream or mayo-yogurt, right?) and off I went. I also guessed the green apples. Other apples don't seem to fit right- too sweet (sugary-craptastic).
I use a bread machine to make the bread. If you've ever made Challah bread, chances are you've melted the butter in a pan with the sugar, and it was annoying to do. I DESPISE doing stuff like that. So, I was not a little pleased to see that the recipe in Electric Bread, one of the most fabo' cookbooks eVAR, does not require that.
Here is the recipe!
Challah Bread
Regular loaf:
1/2 cup water
2 cups white Bread Flour
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 Tbsp. butter
1 egg
1 egg yolk
1/2 tsp. Poppy seeds
3/4 tsp. Fast Rise
-OR-
1 1/2 tsp. Active Dry
Large loaf:
3/4 cup water
3 cups white Bread Flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup butter
2 eggs
1 egg yolk
3/4 tsp. Poppy seeds
1 1/4 tsp. Fast Rise
-OR-
2 1/4 tsp. Active Dry
Uh...well...add it all to your bread machine. Walk away. Oh, you DO choose your loaf size...the scale works well, 6 ounces water, 2 ounces butter (doesn't need to be melted), 14.2 ounces flour. The rest is measuring spoon work.
You can set it to go through the dough cycle and braid it, if you like. Just sprinkle the poppy seeds on top instead of mixing them in. Let double, bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes after letting rise. Never made braided Challah before.
I like to add some vital wheat gluten, but that is unnecessary. What can I say. Let me reiterate: BUY ELECTRIC BREAD. So anyways, the sauce is...well, you kinda just mix the yogurt and mayonnaise together. Everyone has different likings as to tartness and stuff of mayo! What!!!
...I'm just using that as an excuse because I don't know the proportions. I'm sorry. So then you cut the cucumbers and cheese- here, really, I don't know. Just go with your instincts. That seems to be some of the charm of this sandwich. I core the apples then slice them into rings because that's just how I roll. I will post some pictures later...
I leave them open-faced. I cut the bread in like, 1.5 inch thick slices, slather, absolutely slather with the sauce and butter, add cucumbers and cheese. They are messy sandwiches if you do your job right. Do...your job right.
I remember one time I had these when I was playing Metroid Prime. I was in the Phendrana research facility, and I was just about to get the rocket. I say rocket so that it sounds uh, enigmatic. That way it doesn't spoil anything. I mean, are we talking SCUD rocket, or racquetball rocket?
On the Music Front, I ordered some more CDs. There's this chick named Rebecca St. James, and she has a really great song that goes like, "If I had One Chance to tell you Something," and it's a really great song. I heard it once beating some bad-guy brain-holes in half with my brother in the Xmen games...it was so cool, because it lasted like most of the time we were in that little room. So it was like it was background music. I could carry this joke on for a bit, but that would only be mildly funny.
I ordered 'Wait For Me: The Best Of', 'Pray' (that's the album that has Abba (Father) on it), and 'If I Had One Chance To Tell You Something.' I know it's a gamble, you know, hoping that the song, If I had one chance to tell you something, will be on that CD, but it's a chance I'm willing to risk.
Song of the Day is My Jesus by Todd Agnew. I must admit, I do like the censored version on K-Love (Positive Encouraging- More Music, K-Love!) better. The S-word doesn't really fit in too well...I mean...the W-word would have fit better.
This song makes me think of rain, and also it has the thing from Metroid Prime in it, so it's all good. The thinking of rain thing is uh, weird, it didn't rain while I was listening to this song. One time I was cleaning ...OH! That's where it came from. One time I was cleaning out the fridge to make room for some vegetables we had gotten (first bunch of kale any of us had ever seen!), and on the drive home that day it was sprinkling.
So anyways, I will be having those sandwiches soon. Once the bread is done baking. I need to cut up the cucumbers and cheese. And see about the sauce. And cut up the apples. You know, I uh, I should go. Bye.

ION: Nothing to Blog About (TA Script outtakes!)
Today I got two loads of water. I will get more tomorrow. And the next day, what can I say, I am addicted. Apparently.
My arms are killing me. Yesterday I broke a couches spine...really hard to do...anyways, I will make this post short. I'm going to make Gumbo again tomorrow, but I don't think I'll be having any of it; I fear for getting tired of it. I'm gonna make it for a guy named Pete who likes it alot, and for my dearest Auntie whom I will not name as I do not want for being responsible for her death at the hands of crazed fans of my blog. You know who you are (the killer fans)!
Yesterday night I started writing the script for Team A. I got, oh, I don't know. Let me enter it into Open Office and see how many pages...two and a third. Apparently, each page is supposed to be one minute. So I should have two minutes and 33 seconds. I just said that so that you would think I'm too stupid to know that there isn't 100 seconds in a minute. Get it? Well, it wasn't meant to be funny. But I digress. Let me find a timer and read this, and see how many minutes it is. You know, seeing's how I know how long it will all take to take place. Hold on.
Okay, it says 3:40. Timing will be longer, I would say. So probably 4:30 seconds for 2.3 pages. I think the idea is that you fill in with details until it's 1 minute a page. I could do that.
Let's see...4:30 and she's just about to meet Jayme and Dan. So...that'll probably end up being an 8-minute long episode. Ideally, though, I don't want a pause right after she meets them. I don't think I've mentioned it, but Jayme is a leader. He messed up (etiquette during tea-time) and got sentenced to take the forced class of Conducting the Proper Suicide Mission.
You die when you embark on your first mission in that career. Dan also messed up, so they decided (smartly) to flunk CPSM (C-PISM). They went to Improvement Training, and funnelled down the cracks as everyone in IT does, until they got to a guy named "Whippy," who believes that whipping is the only way to improve some people.
Whippy has a machine he invented, an automatic whipper (basically a spinning pulley which spins a whip, the person is tied down and it starts spinning fast). It's rumored to have killed someone before; the whip it uses is braided leather, and the person died of lead poisoning. It is thusly feared as the punishment for not following orders. Some speculate that Whippy made a mistake ordering the braided whip, and spelled it "leadther," thus the lead poisoning.
Jayme and Dan, seeing's how they're friends (Psy torture), are forced to repeatedly whip each other all day long. If they fail in their duties and are caught, they go to the auto whipper.
So, they're a few months into this, and that's when Ness happens upon them. She's being chased (she is on a military compound), then jumps the fence (getting cut up in the process) stopping for a breather, and hears screams and whipping. This is when she takes in the scene for a few seconds then screams "STOP!", like a, I don't know how to explain it. I'll upload a voice clip of it one day. Though it will be done in my boomingly deep, manly voice, and not a voice anything like a girly, breaking teenage puberty voice. I am not a sissy I am a man! Plus, I haven't hit puberty yet. Funny thing, I mean, I am 17 and a half...oh well. We'll cross that road when we come to it, hm?
She had just gotten the "Brick" a few days before. Jayme is not a little impressed; the (a) Brick is an identifier for high-ranking people such as generals or such like that (and she has one), used for confirming high-level promotions and stuff. They chatter about their predicament for a bit, then she demands they come spend a day with her. They have a Hopeless Huddle (she is the main proponent) and decide to go with her.
This sets the scene for, when they return, a parody of when Adam and Eve were hiding from God. It's really hard to write, though. I mean, wow. Like, hmm.
Whippy walking through the compound holding two whips.
WHIPPY
Where are you maggots at!
JAYME
Here, sir. We heard your voice, and we feared, for we are fully clothed.
(before they only had pants, now they have shoes and shirts)
WHIPPY
Who gave you maggots clothing?! Did you escape the compound, which I ordered you not to do!?
JAYME
Yes, sir. A girl named Ness walked up and demanded that we come with her.
NESSA
Me, hi.
Jayme gets the hell scared out of him, and jumps shaking like a, I don't know, rabid monkey. Dan had already known she was there. Jayme coughs several times.
WHIPPY
Wha! Why did you do that?!
Jayme corrects himself (now armed with knowledge that Ness is present)
JAYME
Young woman* named Ness. (this is in the background to the main conversation)
NESSA (answering Whippy)
I don't...really have an answer for that... (furrows brow and nods)
WHIPPY
DO YOU REALIZE WHAT YOU'VE DONE?!
Dan steps in front of Ness with a serious look on his face.
DANLY
All due respect, sir...but she's a SUPER saiyan!
That's about all that's concrete. I am not sure what will happen at that point, as I need to develop Whippy more. I suppose he might hit Dan with one of the whips and incur Nessa's wrath. At which point, seeing's how she isn't armed, I suppose her only option would be strangling him. Ninjas are always well-trained in the strangling art.
Anyways, then Jayme and Dan join her (or else they would be killed/tortured, due to Whippy's anticipated anger upon waking up), and they go to get the Brick "cashed." Jayme, seeing's how he got many years of Leadering training, knows how to do stuff like this, of course. Then well, I don't have the rest of the time line thought out. So I'll need to consider that.
And all of this will be rewritten from scratch in a few months once I develop their personalities, and when I've had time to consider the world they're in. Jayme's enforcement weapon of choice will be a custom-made (edited out). I don't know what Dan will be using. Explosives aren't very close-quarters, and maybe that's the idea. I still don't know if there will be guns...that'd be a weapon for Jayme AND Dan. But also would make Ness into swiss cheese. Okay, miniature catapult-guns using explosives? Ahwahah. No, miniature Frisbees packed with explosives.
Dan can't use too many explosives too, though, or there would be ammunition issues. Also, I don't know how fast Ness will be healing. So I'll have to consider that as well. I do believe it will be slower than Wolverine's...I mean, she has to be able to show signs of being cut up...but see, this is why you don't rush into things. I'll see you next year when I consider starting production on Team A.
Song of the Day is Breakfast by (the) Newsboys. Eeevil, lol. I will begin posting more recipes soonish. Goodnight it is too late.

Jayme, seeing's how he got many years of Leadering training, knows how to do stuff like this, of course.

Shrimp Gumbo
You've heard the rumors, the whispers, and the so-called factual secrets, but now you're hearing it straight from the horses mouth! Step on up, boys and girls! Don't be shy, or we'll seek you out and beat you! That's right, what's your name, child?!
Oh really?!?! I had a dog named that once! Yes I shot him! He got one good one in on me before he went though! Right through my pinkie toe! CHOMP! AHhahhah, anyways, let me tell you a tale of Gumbo!
...actually, there's not much to tell. So I will stop talking like a circus attraction
announcer now.
I commented and voted (like I said, I am now a Part!), and raised the overall rating from 4 to 5 stars. Somebody rated it a 1 and said it wasn't real Gumbo out of, most likely, anger and pent-up anger (more of it) towards Alton Brown and his flying machines. Consarned flying machines...
Out of respect for Alton Brown, wielder of the Culinary Triforce of Courage, I will post the link to the recipe in the stead of recreating it here. Here is the link!
hehe. Get it, link? Here is the link? Like, link, as in Link? From the Legend of Zelda? Yeah! Hey, would Alton's token nutritional anthropologist be his Zelda? Get it? She would be the wielder of the Triforce of Wisdom, right? Yeah. And Hand would be his Navi! Oh, my goodness, so much parodying, so little skill!
Song of the Day is Woohoo by (the) Newsboys. My Mom started a SOTD (Song of the Day) on her blog today. What she doesn't realize is that I started out slow on my SOTD's, too. Also, that I have the decency and courtesy, not to mention respect to my fellow human beings, to put the song of the day at or near the bottom, not randomly embedded in the middle of a post. That's a very shameful way of getting people to read your blog, and you should be ashamed of yourself, Mother. Feel the raw shame of being shamed on by your son. Shame on you. Shaahayhayhayhaame.
I'm off to eat some of the Gumbo. Have a good night. The Gumbo is really fantastic. I add like, one and a quarter pounds of sausage though. Non-paper, non-computer progress continues to be made on TA. Sometime soon I need to backup my hard drive...more on that laters.

I'm a Part Now!
Edited and updated Friday, May 18th, 2007.
...you know, a part of the Foodnetwork site.
Yes, I have created an account with FoodNetwork.com! Fear! All, tremble before the awenemity! I will get rating right away, master! Yes! Reviews I will do, correct, sir! eheeeheheehe!
...really though, I'll have some fun with this. I will make a comment on the Gumbo once I make another pot of it (I made a pot yesterday). I'll probably make another pot tomorrow. I will also make a post here...
And in other news, I cut myself. Not with one of the knives I sharpened, but with a serrated steak knife. I was opening a can of cherries for the Pineapple Upside-down Muffins, if you must know, when the knife leapt from the knife block, flew through the air (five feet), and sliced through my thumb! Right to the bone! "You fiend!" I screamed in a rage. "Take that, you punk!" it screamed back in a tiny voice, as it flew into the wall like unto a dart into a dart board.
"I'll get you for this! I'm going to eat steak ALL THE TIME from now on!" I threatened. "You wouldn't!" it assumed. "OH YEAH?!!? YOU KNOW WHAT?! I'LL BE EATING T-BONES! AND OOPS, I THINK I LOST MY GLASSES--- I'LL JUST CUT THROUGH WHATEVER'S ON THE PLATE! THE UNGLAZED, CERAMIC PLATE! THE 'T' IN THE 'BONE,' TOO!"
After that, it shut up. Then I marked it, so now I'll know which one is MY knife.
Song of the Day is Blessed Be Your Name by the Newsboys. I remember this song from back when me and my Dad, God rest his soul, were working on that church. We put in some stairs that were 10 feet high...made them ourselves. Our truck looked like a shark that day, with the stringers (what the 'tread' is fastened to, or the "spine" of the stairs) sticking over the roof of it four feet or so. Awesome.
Here are the links to the pictures of the cut, which look far better than they actually were (I will spare you accidentally seeing them, yeah?):

In Other News (Another general update post!)
Well, today I crawled out of bed and went to get some water. We haul our water around these parts, I'm sure I've explained it before. We do it with a 500 gallon tank. It turns out, today is the day our second garbage can arrived. We're uh, doing spring cleaning, let's say. It's not like we magically produce two garbage cans worth of garbage forever.
I only got two loads of water, for a total of 825 gallons. The other 175 gallons went to the trees, cows, and dogs. Damn those cows!
Also, out of the kindness of my own heart (yeah right!), I installed my Mom's new toilet. It doesn't flush. I think it's clogged, she thinks it's the toilet fairy punishing us for not replacing the old toilet sooner. Or something to that effect. I heard her say "...toilet fairy," and "...damn thing cursed us." So I'm not sure.
Now that I've logged that for my personal future use (try not to read it, as that would make me uneasy), onward!
\\
...actually, not much is up. I'm right now browsing books on Amazon...books that would, theoretically, help me learn to draw or, at the very least, be a waste of money.
I found three books some time ago, and now they're at least doubled in cost. Action Anatomy still seems to be priced the same.
Today I made Angel Slices/Bars and Split-Pea soup. The split-pea soup got burned. You know how you have something cooking on #6 for two hours, then you walk away for 20 minutes, and it burns? I think it's okay. The first, or maybe second time I made split-pea soup, I burned it. It had little effect...the only problem is that this smells burnt. Like a...well, have you ever sniffed a log from 2" away whilst it was burning in the fireplace? I haven't, either, but I suggest that's what this smells like.
Tomorrow I get to shell and devein like 60 shrimp. Oh man, those shrimp smell great! It's gonna be like being "FORCED" to cut up vanilla beans!...uhm, anyways, then I will cut up five pounds of chicken...then make Pineapple upside-down Muffins. It's gonna be a 'sharp' day I gayer-runtee! Whoo-boy. Today on Dinner: Impossible, the guy failed. I failed, too. Right about 20 minutes into the show I realized the soup was bruning. Not only that, but it was burning, too!
Huummmm. I thought today was Tuesday. I almost lost another day. Curse my forgetfulness and awe-inspiring procrastinating ability! Work on TA is continuing (wow, I even amazed myself how fast I changed gears on that one), although I really need the ability to sit at a desk to practice drawing fully. I mean, I can draw one meanassapple orange half asleep with my glasses off in the dark in my room, especially if I have a hangover, but I would do tons better at a desk. Ohkay, well, it looks kind of round, and it isn't connected properly. Kind of like an 'o' but more like the 'o' contorted into a 'b', but the reverse 'c' in the 'b' doesn't really connect to the 'I' part of the 'b'. I hope I explained that right.
Okay, one thing I've learned, boiling soup for three hours isn't a good thing to do if your air conditioner is out. I've also learned that even though it is 40 degrees outside, it is going to be uncomfortably hot inside the house with both of its doors open and the air conditioning fan on. That damn fan. Doesn't work worth a damn. Damn. Famn. Hahah. That'll teach it, the jerk. Really though it makes no sense! It's on! It's 40 degrees outside! What do I have to do, open the windows too1/1//1/1/ THIS HAS GONE TOO FAR! THISISNOWWAR!
...
...actually...though it's historically easy to wage war on an inanimate object...that one is spinning REALLY fast. And one time, there was a dead mouse in there...eewww. I don't think I want a jar of that jam, good sir. I assert that it is spoiled.
Seriously though, that shrimp smells heavenly. Nothing like the toilet-bowl smell of the other shrimp. This shrimp is, how you say, "SHRIMPY!" Ahw...wait. Sorry. I thought I had a pun cornered, there. My mistake.
I'll tell you how the Gumbo turns out. I can nay wait! I bet it's "SHRI"...damnit. I'm certain Shrimpy must be a pun for some sort of outrageous assertion...I'll keep my idea center open.
Song of the Day is In Christ Alone by (the) Newsboys. I love the beginning, especially. Todd Agnew CDs did not get here yet. And I didn't get to wave at the UPS man (they're the best to wave at-- just try it! Honk your horn, then wave with a big smile on your face!)
Goodnight.
Jayme:
Great, they're infighting...I should break them up before one of them resorts to biting.
S'Arte:
What are they doing?
Jayme:
Screaming. Fisticuffs, I gather. Nessa is yelling general NOs, Danly is yelling YESs and, I think one or two appalled NOs. There's stuff breaking too. Something about a lumberjack...I thought they were just playing video games like three minutes ago...alright, I'm not sure if that was Danly or Nessa. Time to break them up.
Yan'Moore:
Hey, report back all the steamy details.
S'Arte:
Nice one Yan.
Jayme:
Alright Yan, to begin with, I'd say they wouldn't even be fighting right now if I hadn't lied and told Nessa I was looking at Wookie porn... I'll be right back.
