ION: Water Day, Teasing Clouds, Wedding, and Church Next Week

Today I got water (1 load TW 3 for us 330 left). It was uneventful, as Seven of Nine would say. You know, that Borg-human from Star Trek: Voyager. The series has just started replaying on Spike TV (well, "almost just"). A few weeks ago, it was showing 3-4 GGW commercials per show, and several condom commercials (ROFL, the one where all the guys are pigs, then become civilized once they have condoms! Yeah, right, laughing boy).

Now they're not showing either, except one or less of the latter. Hm. Still a lot of lame car commercials, and some "hottest bartender" commercials. Anyway, I'd much rather sit through an hour of commercials than 5 minutes of the Jim Bakker show. That guy looks almost as emotionally imbalanced as John McCain and seems almost as dull. See how I avoided calling him names, but pointed out valid character faults?

Seven of Nine finally has her normal suit. Before, she was walking around in a somewhat-shiny silver one, and, I swear, her breasts had to be at least the size of a human skull (maybe even a Klingon skull!). Each one. Now they seem much more normal. I first noticed it when B'Elanna was leaning over a console, and Seven was standing next to her.

I thought, "whoa, half of her total mammae must be at least the size of B'Elanna's head! And she's a filthy, dirty, yet lovable, half-Klingon! No, that's...can't be right...they don't bounce at all! And as we know, bouncing is a normative activity indicative of healthy breasts! Maybe she has very severe mastitis, which I recently learned humans can develop." But I digress. Aside from digressing, I just heard the word "supersperm" on TV. A show called "Village of the Damned." It's about mind-controlling kids which use their eyes, stuff like that. It's boring.

My Mom and Dad will be getting married here shortly. They were divorced, no one cares, blather blather, etc. I will be operating the video camera. We will need to purchase a Mini-DV, or possibly one of those fancy new hard drive containing gizmos. I need to catch back up with the camcorder market. We may even want to just rent one. It would probably be the best option- we don't have all that much to camcord. Get it?! LOL

My Mom recently bought the wedding dress. She was going to make one, but I told her, "Mom, I'd rather pay $250 for half of your dress than to see you waste your life making one that isn't going to look good. That pattern looks like CRAP!" After several weeks of delivering speeches like this twice-daily on work days and thrice-daily on home days, she caved. "Fine!" she screamed through tears. "I'll just go BUY the damned dress! OOH, I HATE YOU KEV!" she ran to her room. She'll thank me someday. Everyone will. Someday. Some...glorious day. The dress ended up costing $20. Don't ask.

Funny thing about today...it was cloudy, but there was VERY little rain. Our pastor mentioned a few weeks ago that they got what was called the "two-inch rain." One drop of rain every 2 inches. It was cloudy all around, and we probably had four waves of clouds go around us, one wave every 2 hours or so. It is technically too early to say that it did not storm, but... I took a lot of pictures, and I will delete them all if it does not storm. A distant city on a hill got pwnt by all four waves. Curse their bowels!

Also next week we have an arranged, I suppose it would be called a Bible study, with our pastor. We're special! "Now, Kev's Mom," he began a few days ago. "We really need to have a sit-down, open up the Book, and discuss this inappropriate behavior." With that, he looked over at me disgustedly, probably making sure I am OK with him treating my Mom that way. I mouthed to him, "As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten." His whole body shuddered and he looked down, gritting his teeth and clenching his fists. I musta spoke some power to him! Whoo! Church is going GREAT! I am totally looking forward to the meeting! We're gonna have lunch, but I don't know. A restaurant seems too noisy for a talk like that. I vote Subway, someone goes and gets the subs, then we all eat. I wonder if his family will stay or not? Hmm. I will bake a batch of those muffins, too.

Dan:
"OH MY GOSH!"
Ness:
"WHAT!"
Ness has sprawled herself out in improvised attack position, eyes wide and wild, daggers drawn. Dan speaks, then runs off:
Dan:
"It's Princess Paprika! EEE!"
Ness:
"Who?!"
Jayme (intones):
"The lovable, red-headed princess-spokeswoman for AllEmpec Foods. You know, the one who wears the red contacts."
Ness:
"Oh. Right. With the scary looking, talking clouds?"
Jayme:
"Uh-huh. She tells stories to small children."
Ness:
"I gathered that by the crowd of small children gathered around her. And Dan."
Jayme:
"...yeah, Dan has no shame..."
Ness nods soberly, sheathing her knives.

Meet Tiger

Tiger is one of my cats. Here is a picture of him and Precious (Precious is my other cat, who is female).

Can you guess which one is Tiger? He's the striped cat nodding towards the white cat which is sleeping. In the above picture, they are sleeping on a comforter on top of my old dresser. It is since gone, and I need to make them a new bed. They loved it.

Tiger is a little effeminate. My parents like to call him "gay," "gay cat," and other demeaning titles. Here is a picture of him a few years back.

As you can see, or maybe can't, he's looking at Blue, of Bear in the Big Blue House. I think his name is blue, anyways. Tiger was actually looking at him. See? Oh, and Tiger's an idiot.

And I mean stupid. For some reason, he always messes up. With him, it's not an exception when he falls- it's an exception when he makes it. He oft-times falls off of a couch or whatever if he's sleeping near enough the edge.

He scratches his ear psychotically with his back paw occasionally. It's weird, because he makes himself cry out in pain. He uses too much claw, not enough paw. I think he may have ear mites.

Here are some pictures of him from the other day. I've mentioned he has a thing for Wii paddles, so I took some pictures. Precious got in on it, too- I'll show her later. She is much more photogenic than Tiger.

As you can see, he can't get his paws around the idea of how to use the Wii paddles, much like my brother. He is trying to press the B button, or trigger button, on the Wiimote. Most likely, he imagines he is trying to vanquish some Nazis in Call of Duty III.

We got him, along with his brother, Speedy (now dead, he was black and loved to sleep in the street on the blacktop, recipe for disaster), from my Aunt a few years back (thanks!). He's a very jealous cat, and also the dominant in the house. He is dominant because the others think he has some sort of fighting potential, but he doesn't. He frequently picks on the 100 pound pit bull, but the other cats totally own him. Fighting-wise. Mentally, he thinks he is the best. And so do they.

The other cat in the house is Vicious. She dislikes humans (unless she wants to be petted) and does not get along AT ALL with either Tiger or Precious. Precious and Vicious are sisters to Tiger, but from a latter litter. Notice Precious is nice, thus the name, and Vicious is...well, evil, thus the name. We frequently call Vicious "Satan." Vicious will attack Tiger or Precious if they get too close.

As I said, Tiger is jealous and dominant. So, he wants to pick on Precious. But since both Precious and Vicious are white with tiger stripes, he can't tell if the cat he is advancing on will attack him or be attacked by him.

Tiger frequently pretends to be friendly to Precious, usually giving her a bath around the neck, then bites her (very slowly thus gently, for some reason). One of the things he does, which is weird, is clamors for attention from me anytime I put on a new shirt. Once he covers it with his shedding cat hair, he is satisfied.

That's him as a kitten. That is an empty gallon bucket he is in. I used to really, really like rats. Fancy rats. I was all about rats. I thought they were the cutest, etc. etc. Their names spelled backwards spelled Star, and that's just what they were in my eyes. Stars.

But then, once we got Tiger, my whole view on them changed. They are not pets in the same league as a cat. I am a cat person, by the way- I don't like dogs. Rats don't live very long, don't have a very active presence in your life (a rat can't follow you into the bathroom while you take a shower and regret every second of it as water vapor fills the air), and are smelly. Also, they tend to get violent if you don't spend time with them for a while. This has been my experience, and I've had at least 20 rats in my lifetime.

Tiger has a problem eating food. My parents claim he is losing weight at an alarming rate, but I just don't see it. He is pretty skinny, but I don't notice him getting skinnier. They claim he can't eat, I disagree, life goes on.

Here is one last picture of him, showing off his lion mane, like the fearsome, intelligent hunter you know he's not:

TIGER SAYS TO GET OUT OF HIS FACE.

Ending note, I have heard that cats sometimes mend their relations, so maybe one day he and Precious will be friends. They have become much more tolerant of each other in past years.

Also, my Brother wants a cat of his own, since he sees how much my cats love me. They clamor for my attention. He tries to pet them, and they tolerate it, then go back to me. It causes him no end of grief, as you could imagine. It's hurtful to see him react to it. His last rat recently died, so he is weened of that grievance. Now he is longing for a pet to call his own, and I think he would like a cat. That would really raise his sense of self-worth, if some animal in this world actually cared for him (he hates dogs as well).

So, I am going to talk to my parents about it. Having a cat is a risk, as we live out in the country. 50 cars don't pass every 2 minutes, so our cats sometimes do not learn not to sleep in the street. That's how Speedy died. At the same time, you CAN have indoor cats, like Tiger, but some cats won't go for that. Precious is free to come and go, and so is Vicious. They do not sleep in the street, or even go into the street.

Team is in a bar, and a guy approaches Ness.

Guy:
"Hey baby, why don't you lose the heroes and get with the hero!?"
Ness:
(leans towards Jayme and looks at him)
Jayme:
(stands up) "Listen buddy, you need to step off. She's a lesbian."
Ness:
(incredulously) "I am NOT!"
Jayme:
"Oh, she isn't, I guess she'll go out with you then."
Ness:
(frantically and alarmedly) "NO!"

See Kev Purchase More Items

Left Behind: The Kids titles:

#3 Through the Flames
#4 Facing the Future
#5 Nicolae High
#6 The Underground
#7 Busted!
#8 Death Strike
#9 The Search
#10 On the Run
#14 Judgment Day
#16 Fire from Heaven

All cost $.75 each, ordered from two people.

Totaling $22.10 in shipping, and $7.50 on the books themselves. Weird, huh?

I also ordered Silver Bullet, a werewolf movie. I was disappointed by Bad Moon- it's good on a first watch, but there's nowhere near enough action, and nowhere near enough people are shown being stalked. It does not remind me of the hunt.

Silver Bullet was $5.33, a DVD, and shipping was $2.99. Bringing my grand total up to $37.92. I haven't been paid for a month (somehow, I had myself convinced I would earn some form of interest). In the next wave of books I buy (probably a few weeks to a month) I will purchase Metroid Prime: Hunters. Gotta play that before September 17th.

Additionally, a few days ago, my Mom saw a camera on sale at CostCo. She emailed me. Due to a printer fiasco (?), I did not check my email for (until today). I then read it and emailed her back (after ensuring the camera was still on sale).

As you may know, I love taking pictures. I try to always carry a camera with me. But the camera I carry is cheap. Not as cheap as one of those cameras shaped as SpongeBob, but cheap.

I'm not complaining. It has served me well. Welcome the "Pictures" tag, for everything picture I've taken. Including video game pictures, like the Turok pictures I have taken. Remember that snake I took a picture of? It did not come out very good- it'll do, but wow, what a missed opportunity. And that time I took a picture of that rescue helicopter? Did not come out very good. Oh, man, that thing was 300 yards from me. MOVING SLOWLY. What a chance I missed!

I cannot relate how many times I've wished I had a camera with me. So I resolved to never go anywhere for extended periods without a camera. Even if I'm going to be outside for an hour, what if I run into a scorpion, or the road runner I have always wanted to take a picture of?

Even closeup shots come out blurry with my current camera. Like this picture I took of our goats. That's actually one of the clearer ones it takes. They were not all running or anything...anyway, she ordered the camera. I think we can expect it tomorrow by a miracle, or Monday. We each payed half of the cost.

I haven't been posting a lot lately- I'll explain that in a while. Yesterday, for Independence Day, I made a Flag Cake. My Mom covered that story. She forgot to mention that this is our new "celebration" cake. It is like cheesecake with a 1" thick crust! It's delicious. I used half strawberries, half raspberries.

I am planning to make one one day for our church. It cuts into bars easily, with 2 raspberries/strawberries, and 2 mounds of cream cheese frosting (which tastes like good cheesecake). Goody.

The Team has just received their clothes for their assignment. They are clothes (pants, sweaters) with body armor built in. Jayme gives Ness her outfit. It is on a hanger.

Ness:
"I'm not wearing that."
Jayme:
(sighs) "Why not?"
Ness:
"It looks uncomfortable."
Jayme:
"Ness, if everything in the world was uncomfortable, what would you do?"
Ness:
(puffs out bottom lip) "...nothing?"
Jayme:
"Nothing is uncomfortable, too."
Ness:
"...that would just be dreadful, wouldn't it?"

Jayme drops the hanger hook between Ness' chest and walks away; Ness freaks out and falls with it (not from the weight of it)

"Breaking" news: Prison Break

(Jayme and Dan escaping makes the news before they expected it to. They are in a hotel at this point.)

Reporter (Cindy):

"We bring you now to the scene of an attack on a military detention center which left one guard wounded and 2 male prisoners missing, either escaped or kidnapped as political prisoners. Signs point to escape. As you can see by the hole in the fence, there were explosives used.

According to one gate guard stationed about 400 yards from this spot, a young woman was spotted running along the gate. The theory of the investigators is that she climbed over the fence- blood and flesh was found on the wire- then knocked the guard out, and used one of his grenades to blow a hole in the fence.

There is an extensive search out for the escaped prisoners and the woman...hold on...OK, we're transferring you to the Harren's Hospital 42 facility where the injured guard was taken, Richard?"

Reporter (Richard):
"Yes Cindy, I am here with the guard, Mark, I am not allowed to disclose his full name, who was knocked quite senseless by the young woman suspected of assisting the prisoners in their escape. Sir, could you please recount to us the events which occurred today?

DCG (Mark):
"Well, I was just MINDING my business, when I SAW her, and it looked like she didn't BELONG here- talking to the two prisoNERs. I lobbed a grenade AT her, and-

Reporter (Richard):
"Sir, you threw a grenade at her?"

DCG (Mark):
"So, then I got out my paint BALL GUN, and I shot them up. I had run out of P-PEPPER-filled balls, or it would have worked better. They took off RUNNING! And about 5 minutes later, I got knocked into the DIRT."

Reporter (Richard):
"What happened after you shot at them?"

DCG (Mark):
"Well, I had to get my maCHINE GUN. It's the mounted kind, it's HEAVY to move. I was wearing a lot of ARMOR-"

Reporter (Richard):
"You're telling me you didn't follow after them?"

DCG (Mark):
"Well I, -I couldn't- I tried wobbling for a WHILE, then I got TIRED, so I just, uh...I radioed headQUARTERS, and told them we had a TRESpasser!"

DCG Mark is getting annoyed.

Reporter (Richard):
"We were told no transmission had been received, and you were there for hours in the sun?"

DCG (Mark):
"Well, it- they had radio jammers."

He has stopped his psychotic, anger-filled screaming of random words.

Reporter (Richard):
"Sir, you're aware the radios you use use a certain feature, and they will continue to attempt to transmit the last transmission until the signal clears?"

DCG (Mark):
"We-"

Reporter (Richard):
"And that there was no transmission in the queue to be transmitted?"

DCG (Mark):
"OK, now, maybe I was hit before I got to transmit it. The guy hit me hard."

Reporter (Richard):
"Yes, a dented...your dented paint ball gun was found at the scene- the prisoners are all barefoot, correct?"

DCG (Mark):
"EAH."

Reporter (Richard):
"Sir, you're aware the only barefoot prints found near you were facing the wrong direction to have hit you?"

DCG (Mark):
"Well, th-"

Reporter (Richard):
"And that there were shoe prints found positioned perfectly to have hit you, and the only suspect wearing shoes was the woman?"

DCG (Mark):
"S-"

Reporter (Richard):
Additionally, she was the only one known to be bleeding, and blood was found on the gun-"

DCG (Mark):
"Well, it couldn't have been her- I was knocked, you know, I was hit, knocked me cold- a girl couldn't have done that."

Reporter (Richard):
"Sir, you're aware that the prints lifted from the gun did not match either prisoner?"

DCG (Mark):
"No, that couldn't have bee-"

Reporter (Richard):
"There you have it, folks. Whupped by a young woman- probably a weak young woman at that. A small girl, if you will. Investigators believe she was a highly trained mercenar-"

DCG begins looking alarmed (probably seeing his reputation going down the drain).

DCG (Mark):
"WELL NO, that's not it! She, it wasn't- she wasn't a normal girl! She had HUGE teeth, and she was like, nine feet ta-"

Station goes to static, pause.

Reporter (Tom, at office):
"Sorry for the inconvenience, folks. That was Richard Knowles reporting from the Harren's 42 Hospital. That is, apparently, sensitive information- we'll see if we can get clearance to show it. Of course, the police are requesting the prisoners returned, and promise to exercise leniency if there's a peaceful surrender.

As a result of todays excitement, expect to jump through extra hoops for all aircraft activity. And, speaking of hoops, we now bring you to Warren for the sports segment. Warren?"

Reporter (Warren, at office):
"Thank you, Tom. With my expert filter of sport over my eyes, I can see that that girl must have been pretty sporty to jump that razor-wire. But even someone as sporty as that couldn't help the Planter's this season, which is turning out to be a bad one for them, losing..."

Jayme:
"Huh."
Dan:
"We should wake Nessa."
Jayme:
"Naah. I wanna let her sleep as long as she can undisturbed then make a crack about how she slept late."
Dan:
"Heh heh heh."
Jayme (mimicky tone):
"Hey, morning eyes- I mean, morning eye lids. Hey, sleeping beauty- that kiss never came, huh? Hey, pillowface- I notice you slept so long, you got an indention in your face from your pillow. She's going to regret every second of sleep."
Dan (after pause):
"I bet you don't muster enough courage to say one of those."
Jayme:
"Hey!"

Water Day---Meet Jimmy

Today I got water. Yesterday, I got water as well. I ended up leaving at 3:30, and it took me 15 minutes to get out of the gate. Then the Sean Hannity Show was over (I didn't think of that!) so I decided to only get us one, and the Thirsty Wolf (my neighbor, whom I haul water for) one. No one waved at me. Ungrateful SWINE!

Only a few people waved to me today, and nothing came today. I got two loads of water for us, and to my surprise, filled up the tank with 100 gallons left over. Muaha.

On the Church Front, we think we may have found one. I won't say which one- I like having a head on my shoulders, thank-you-very-much. You'll have to hunt me down like the filthy, slobbering dog I am if you want to strike at my neck. Jerk.

The only thing which is left is to see how their congregation is. I think I've stated before that I would like to meet some friends my own age. Hopefully some that share my interest of hip stuff, such as video games.

In short, some 'hip,' and 'cool' friends. It can't be too hard to find teenage Christian hipsters in this day and age, right? I mean...every teenager is a hipster. Don't all young people play video games? I'm really hoping it's the kind of church which attracts true Christians- not just kids tagging along with their parents. That would suck. What does that say about a person?

OK, so...there's a demon-spider outside near the power box. I don't know how else to say it, so I just said it. Bluntly. He is about five feet tall, but he would be taller if he stood his spider legs higher. He can jump pretty high, but I don't know how high- like 8 feet. So far, he hasn't eaten anything dear to us, but he hangs out near the meter box and is very interested in the truck and the manner of getting water. I think the sound soothes him.

He always scurries over there and listens to the water pour out of the tank when I move away. Artist rendition at right. So far he's just been curious, but I think he might be pondering the idea of using the tank as a den.

When we first discovered him, he was smaller, about the size of a...I don't know, a few feet high. His eyes were a bit bigger. From what we can tell, he was mutated by the electro-heloferalinide current emanating from the APS meter box. Probably has some of the APS meter-readers' DNA. He has grown quite rapidly, but it appears he has stopped. A bit smaller than a human male. It is...unclear what he eats.

He doesn't show any violent tendencies, and he sometimes walks up on me or my Dad, so he isn't terrified of humans or anything. It's the darned creepiest thing. He moves in a slow fashion when he's around us. I like to call him Jimmy. Jimmy the Demon-Spider. He's learning his name.

Tonight for dinner we're having pork chops, Chinese fried rice, and Green Beans Amandine. I'm thinking of making Macaroni and cheese for my brother, lest he should be tempted to rage. Goodniiiiiiight. My eyes burn.

Ness:
"Yeah, it's just a silly thing we petitioned for...I mean, that's how it goes. We accepted...Anderson's, drinking rules, (recites): "Only Parker's Lite can be drunk, and, if keg, Parker's Lite Keg Party variety." Anderson's has been in bed with Parker's for-"
Dan:
"Ninjas DRINK?!"
Ness:
"...well, yeah! We're practically 60% water!
Dan:
"...oh. Really?"
Ness:
"Yes."
Dan:
"...does...does it hurt?"
Ness:
"Being 60% water?
Ness:
(bites lip and nods, furrowing eyebrows, speaking dramatically): "A little."

First Rattlesnake of the Season

Edited and updated Sunday, July 8th, 2007
Pictures will not be featured. Here is it dead: Dead snake closeup
Internet speed is still 160kbps up/360kbps down

So yesterday, I was playing Pokemon Pearl. Ahh, what a safe life I live, I thought.

In Pokemon, there are Pokemon called "alternate color Pokemon." I prefer "Shiny" Pokemon though. So, these shinnies appear like other Pokemon. Except that there's a 1 in 8,000 chance of seeing one. I've only see one in all the, probably over 80 hours I've spent on Pokemon Blue (Update: I got one in Pearl also, caught it, a Krikitune though). It was an Abra. Didn't catch it either :(

It ran away. But anyways, when I'm playing, I'm CONSTANTLY in the frame of mind of, "Is this pokemon I've never heard of before colored differently?" then I have to catch it and find out. The powers that be say that stars appear when it's a shiny, but I don't wanna take any chances until I know what those stars are like.

Last week, Friday actually, I requested my parents search for a BB Gun. I wanted one in case of a rattlesnake attack, so we could kill it without having to noose it then behead it. They were all like, "Oh, we should get it online." and I said, "well, I think you should just get one." So they got the Remington with a Scope model (official name!) and over the weekend I got a bit more accurate with it and stuff.

So...yesterday...I had to go dig a grave. A goat is gonna die. If you must know, he has urinary calculi, and he can't pee, so his bladder is currently filling to the point it is going to burst inside him and he will die. Farm life. Actually, at the moment, he has a hernia. Just...you know...in the front. *shudders*

So I went to dig his grave. I was still in that state of mind I am when examining Pokemon for a shiny. I was looking, thinking "rattlesnake rattlesnake rattlesnake." I had to go into the garden to get the shovels. Yes, I dig with TWO shovels. You wanna fight about it?

And there he was. One of the biggest, most fearsome Here the the festering, maggot infested tag of Things I Hate rattlesnakes I've ever seen! Three feet tall! FIVE TAILS, two heads, and TEN TONGUES! Two horns, and snakes protruding from its eye sockets instead of eyes!!! I ran inside faster than a steam-engine train burning nitro glycerin!

I got the BB gun and the pellets for it. It holds BBs too, but pellets don't ricochet as easily, if at all. He was still there! Panting, practically inhaling my very being! It sounded as if a plane was taking off with each rise and fall of its nine chests. Whooooosh, WHOOOSH. Whoooooosh, WHOOOOSH. And every once and a while it even sounded like a helicopter taking off!

So I took careful aim! AND I PULLED THE TRIGGER! I missed, and shot a bit below its head, causing it to recoil and begin to rattle frantically. Whew, creepy. It was about 1.5 D batteries around, and like 3 feet long or something.

I then got another vantage point. I turned around, AND IT WAS GONE! I thought, "hmm," but was cut off in my thought by the sound of a car revving. OH MAN, SOMEONE'S STEALING THE CAR TOO! I thought. Then it peeled around the corner, heading right for me! IT WAS THE SNAKE! It had its ten rattles hanging out the windows, hissing hysterically, and it had apparently grown arms! I jumped into the armored fortress that is the brokendown F250 with Hydraulic Lift support! BAM! it went! CRA.........wait...

Okay, sorry, that didn't happen. Sorry. So uhm, I got my other vantage point, and took a shot at it. I pierced it good. I then realized it was stuck inside the chickenwire of the garden! Note that when I had first found it, I was about five feet from it. I saw it before it rattled. I saw it, then heard rattling. Oooh, the nerve. It was looking at me. Both heads. Flicking its black tongues. All ten of them. Creepy.

So I took advantage. At this point there was no going back. I was about to give up. I shot it again. This time, I pierced its bladder. Urine was flying everywhere. Green urine. I shot it several more times, and pierced several more of its bladders, most likely amnionic sacs, all of them spewing different colored, acidic, demonic liquids of urinic qualities. Then I shot it some more. At one point I thought it was dead, so I shot it again, and it moved around all angry. Fifteen shots later...oh and...

A shot...is ten pumps. Hard to do 15 shots in a row. I am SORE. Each time it took me about two minutes to reload and another two minutes to aim. I was out there for at least an hour. So, it looked dead. Then I called my Dad to update him. As I was talking to him, it started writhing. CREEPED ME OUT! OH MY GOODNESS THAT WAS THE HANDSDOWN CREEPIEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE! PERIOD! BY FIVE TIMES!

...and I've seen about five goats give birth! Heh heh heh. So anyways, IT WAS WRITHING AROUND IN BITTER AGONY, suspended, about in the middle, by the chickenwire hole it was stuck in. Its head end and rattle end were both flailing independent of eachother. It was SNAPPING ITS VENOMOUS FANGS, all eighteen of them, everywhere! It struck the ground several times, and bit itself about five times. Bit itself.

That's how violently it was flailing. And this was just the time I could look at it, the rest of the few minutes were filled with uncontrollable shuddering and exasperated CREEPOUTEDNESS.

EWW THAT CREEPY JERK! Man. Creepy. It finally resorted to- get his- sinking its fangs into and holding onto its own neck.

Several minutes. I shot it several times. It still held on, biting itself. It comitted suicide; Rattlers aren't immune to their own poison apparently. I couldn't get closer than four feet from it loooong after it was dead. I got a few headshots in, and finally threw a bag of turkey feed (we don't need it anymore, the turkeys were killed by the dogs some time ago) on it to cover it up. Coincidentally, this cut it in half where it was hooked in the fence. My parents say it was one of the biggest rattlesnakes we've seen. I had to kill it all by myself. Thankfully, my father 'exported it' to the neighbors yard. Heh heh heh. Their problem now.

So yes, the first rattlesnake of 2007 was slain by Kevinsky the Destroyer!

But let's look at this. Imagine I had not been so heartstumped on getting the BB gun. I would have been unable to shoot it with the BB gun. Now, imagine how much closer I would have been to it if I hadn't been playing Pokemon, and in the "shiny, shiny, shiny" mindset of constantly scanning for something?

And imagine if it hadn't been stuck in the fence?

I thank God I had it in me to get that BB gun, and that I was playing Pokemans's, and that it was stuck in the fence. That thing could have been a few more feet in, and I'd be A DEAD ZOMBIE CORPSE!!!

It's not endangered, so it was a clean, legal kill. I look back on it, and I feel bad because it got hurt. That sucks. That's the worst thing about the whole memory is that it got hurt for no good reason...it was just unlucky enough to come up against Kev.

Kev the Destroyer.

Jayme stumbles out of building; mist exits rapidly, walks down the few stairs, goes towards Dan and Ness, Dan scrambles out of the way horrifiedly; Dan and Ness have not seen Jayme for several months.

Jayme (leaning on Ness):
(out of breath, swallows) "You know what a horse is right?"
Ness:
(nods with concerned/worried expression)
Jayme:
"You know what a mace is?"
Ness:
(nods, faster this time)
Jayme:
"Good girl-" (shoves away from her and collapses in grass)

About that time, some dude appears in the building where Jayme was, on a horse (horse is rearing up for show), wielding a mace, cackling hysterically.

Ness looks with disbelief at Jayme as the mace-wielding horseman charges her. Looks several times between the two.
